DR Cilla I'm glad you said no regarding the offer.  Vibes they won't be a problem down the road when they compete against you though I doubt they will be.

DR Jane, what Samsung smartphone did Keith just get? I have a new Galaxy Note 3. It's big (a 5.7" screen), and I am really loving it!

Keith has the same phone and loves everything about it except that he can't find a case for it, the kind with the window.  Do you have a case?

Remember I posted several weeks ago about the cat who had wandered away from Mary Linda's parents' house?  Well, here is ML's mother's Facebook status from this morning:

"CHESTER IS HOME!!!!! He showed up while I was getting dressed for work this morning on the deck outside our bedroom. He looks fine.... not even like a cat that has been living in the wild for 5 weeks!! He must have found a food source somewhere.... if only they could talk."

Amazing...

Great news, Ginny!

TOD

I think my biggest omelet eating years were my L.A. ones, and oddly enough, the first one I remember upon moving to Hollywood in the summer of '72 was a banana omelet at Coffee Dan's.  Don't know what else was in it.  (Maybe raisins?)  Went back a few times for that one.

Otherwise, I usually just went for the heartier ones along the lines of chili and cheese, Mexican with chorizo (ate those a lot for weekend breakfasts at a great little diner called CJ's Pantry in Redondo Beach), western omelets, that kind of thing.

For a while, I was making them at home, usually the Mexican variety with diced green chiles, tomato, avocado, onion (loved green onions in omelets), perhaps cilantro, some kind of hot sauce, and always cheese.  I'd load those babies up.  Probably never learned the "correct" way of making omelets, flipping them or whatever, but I got pretty good at getting the ingredients laid out in the egg mixture in a large skillet, and carefully folding the eggs over.

This is making me hungry.

Chas, your Mexican omes sound good, except please leave the cilantro out of mine.  If I wanted my omelet to taste like soap, I would add a few chunks of Lifebuoy.

Haven't tried Lifebuoy, but I love cilantro in just about anything.

I don't mind cilantro.  Your homemade Mexican omelet does sound very good, but I don't like avocado.  That's what I'd leave out.

DRcillaliz, how awful! I hope this morning your aches from the accident are over.  Did you get all the insurance info from the source of the collision?  How did rehearsal go?

The aches were a lot les than I expected.  It's really a sad thing that I can compare these aches to accidents in the past.  Anyway,  do have a little whiplash.  My chiro was out today so I went to her partner who does the good old manual cracking of the back.  She put me back in place and gave me this great stuff called Deep Blue.  It smells like wintergreen and totally relaxes my muscles.  She said I need massage therapy.  oh gee....twist my arm to have insurance pay for massages....anyway, I go back tomorow

The cop took all the insurance info and said he'd put it in the report.  That's how they do it in South SC, NE, so it is what it is. My claims adjustor said I'm 0% liable....well duh, Anyway, I've gotten the estimate and can get it fixed now with my insurance paying and get a reimbursement for my deductible when liability is sorted out.  Since I think the guy who caused it has the same insurance co. I'm going to go ahead and call the shop tomorrow to see when he can get me in.  The damage is over $3000!

DR Cillaliz, I hope that you will be okay. And hopefully the middle car driver will be fine too.

Did the person who hit you guys give some reason as to why they would hit a bunch of cars that are stopped?  I can't believe that someone could be so stupid.

My guess is he was texting, but I don't know.  He was very upset when I was around him and liability is so clear I didn't see a reason to bother him.   There were either two or three cars ahead of me, so he would have had to have missed seeing 5 stopped cars in a row.  He had to be texting or something

TOD - One of the best omelets I've ever had was the Garden Omelet at Sarabeth's on Central Park South before the HHW walk with DR Jose through Central Park and the Upper East Side.  Broccoli, corn, carrots, and Cheddar cheese - YUM!

I do make omelets, often on meatless Fridays during Lent.
I remember that!   I think I may have had that one too

Watching Pasolini's The Decamaron. Very funny, but very Pasolini and I'm not always fond of that camera style. But his camera does like a beautiful body.
