The good news:
I had an eye exam this morning with a new optometrist and I LIKE her. This is significant because the last two optometrists failed to get my prescription right. Both times I had to complain that I couldn't see properly. Of course, this is not met with pleasure. They get huffy and sometimes offensive and insist that the Rx they gave me is correct. I then say, "But I can't see properly!" As my hairdresser put it, how can anyone but me tell if I can see well or not? And so it goes. So far I like her.
The bad news:
It'll take about a week to have new reading glasses made. Until then I'm wearing my reading glasses from two years ago, which aren't really helping much. Reading is difficult and I will have to limit it. As I usually spend much of the day on the computer, it will be a challenge.
Once I have the new reading glasses--and they work well for me--then I'll have a new progressive made. I've been through this so many times that I've learned not to have a progressive made until I know that the reading Rx is good. It doesn't guarantee that the progressive will work, but at least we'll be one step closer.
Need I add that this drill is one HUGE OY? So, I won't be able to read or post much here for the next week.
