I never minded purchasing hard covers I wanted to read. It is one thing to pay for something you can look at and hold in your hands than for something on a hand held device. With long waits at the library, if a book a new book is available, or a high price for an eBook I rarely read recently published books. I just received a reminder of this fact from Goodreads. I have the page to vote for my favorite books of 2013. I don't know what criteria Goodreads uses for their top choices (there is a write in option), however I have only read 2 of the books listed. I have several of them on my library hold list and others on my wish list. I plan to add a few more to the wish list.
