DR Cillaliz, one of the things I'm most thankful for is that your day turned out so much better than you expected.

Take care of yourself, DR Ginny!

That dinner itemization sounds...well, incredible.  I'm afraid if I read it a second time I'll put another pound on.

Thank you, DR ChasSmith!  Maybe it's time to follow-up with my doctor like they advised when they discharged me from the ER in NYC.

Forgot to mention that I also made the gravy yesterday...

Love a Cracker Barrel breakfast.

As long as it includes eggs, bacon, ham with red-eye gravy, hash browns, those little casserole things, toast, a good pot of coffee, and...

and...

Well, I've never tried pancakes or waffles or french toast there, so can't comment on those.

You don't have to go to the Mall to know it is Black Friday.  All you have to do is to look at your e-mail folder.

I'm up - I probably could have slept till noon as it's raining out - well, was raining out - well, the streets are wet and the sky is gray, but the alarm went off and I shall be on my way to get coifed by Teddy in about forty minutes.

DR Ginny, get your butt to a phone now and call your doctor about those damned nosebleeds.

This minute, Missy.

I've listened to the edits on the Big Speakers and followed the score.  We need to bring out the brass in a few places, bring out the celesta, and the solo violin. It will be fine.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at my brother's house - there were the Vixfamily three plus my parents and my SIL's sister and husband and my SIL's parents so a small group -

We had Turkey - which we all like, bread stuffing with cranberries and apples and sausage stuffing, greenbean casserole, corn, my favorite cauliflower casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, rolls, turnips and gravy.

Dessert was apple pie, pumpkin pie, banana cream pie, chocolate pudding pie and vanilla ice cream

My contribution was wine, beer , and rolls, and driving my folks ... so I got off lightly this year -  I hung around and helped clean up at the end to make up for that

And now the sun is peeking through - thus LA.  Can't have one nice day of rain or even a few hours of rain, or even an hour of rain.

We need photos of your new TV DR JOHN G.

No Black Friday for me either.....

Bought a 40-inch Samsung from Costco online. And I forgot I won't be home for half the week next week when they might be delivering it.

Thanksgiving dinner, for me, was cheese and crackers followed by a bowl of soup.  All accompanied by a fine cranberry juice and Diet Sierra Mist cocktail!

The evening ended with a little excitement after half the guests had left and the others were gathering up their belongings to leave.  I had an encore of the malady that sent me to the ER in New York two weeks ago.  Paramedic Rob was still here and took good care of me.  After all the guests had left I sat quietly for a while and watched SHERLOCK with Richard and the nosebleed finally stopped.
Take care of yourself, please.

Black Friday officially marks the day that most retailer's bottom line goes from the red to the black.  That means the rest of the year is all profit (in theory).

I am glad you explained moon turnips.  I had all sorts of ideas, none good, of what you might have meant.

They are doing a lot of Black Friday sales here too today. I don`t ever really remember them doing this before (making a big deal out of it).  Obviously it`s nothing like what it is in the US. Canada`s Black Friday is Boxing Day.

I was just reminded of what I detest about the Thanksgiving weekend: college football.

Doing some work before I head across the bay for Thanksgiving Day #2.  Last night at karaoke, someone got me a shot of Fireball whisky, I'm pretty sure I'm in love.

Hello, everyone.

I woke up to both rain and a sore throat. I had toyed with the idea a few days ago to spend a couple hours today exploring a neighborhood of small shops. Well, I wasn't really in the mood, anyway. I'm so NOT a shopper. I buy as much as I can online. I do have a bit of Christmas shopping to do yet, but there's time.

I have plenty of food here, including soup and tea and lemons, plus DVDs and books, so I'm fine on that score. I think this is the nuisance virus I've had off and on for a couple weeks. Irritating, but not serious. I just wish it would leave for good.

Ginny, I'm glad that Rob was there when you needed him and I know that you pay attention and try to be compliant. The rest you know! I hope your doctor is able to get things under control soon.
