You're planning on bringing in Carol Channing as Daisy Mae, aren't you?

LOL  I'm sure Ms. Channing is thinking that she could do the part.

Good morning, all.

Another vote for Carol -- as Appasionata von Climax.

Friday!  More snow is predicted for today.  Today Miss Precious gets to go to the groomer - a fallout of my windfall yesterday....she is quite unaware of her fate as of now....but in a few minutes, all will be revealed.

TOD

Finishing up with Barney Miller

I've decided binge watching a tv series is not the way to do it. It needs to be spread out. Maybe one or two a day or every two days

Top of the morning, everyone!

Congrats on getting to do Lil' Abner! I've never seen a production, but there's a lot in the score (and the source material) that I enjoy greatly.

TOD:
In the DVD drive: season 3 of "Quantum Leap." On deck: season 7 of "Psych"
Ye olde iPod: A dozen lectures on Jewish mysticism
On the nightstand: "Steel Seraglio" by Mike, Linda, & Louise Carey - Very well-crafted story by one of my favorite writers and his family
YouTube playlist: a whole bunch of Jonathan Coulton/Paul & Storm songs

Since Stupefyin' Jones is essential a cameo how about Julie Newmar?

Good morning, all! I hoped to be up at 7:00, but around 3am, I was really sick, so I slept in. I'm feeling much better so I'll shortly head to the laundromat.

My weekend may include a trip to Toyland, but I'll mostly be sitting here working on my Encores! project.

I am very excited about LI'L ABNER, since BK and I have talked about doing it for several years. I hope it's a huge success for him and the school. I loved working with him and them on THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X, and i have a really good vibe about BK's work on this one.

Julie Newmar repeated her role as Stupefyin' Jones in the sad Encores! production, and she was no longer sexy nor stupefying'; it was sad and rather scary.

No birthdays today? This has been a huge birthday week, and my digits are itching to post a birthday greeting.

Enjoyed David Letterman's joke that it's tough being Carrie Underwood, because among othe things, she's also Kelly Clarkson.

Like so many people. I get Clarkson and Underwood confused.  Their choice of songs couldn;t be more different, but it's a common error.

An exception to Clarkson and Underwood choosing different songs:

The LI'L ABNER plans sound just great, and I wonder what BK's concept is.  Well, we'll find out all in due time, won't we!

I love Sheldon Harnick!

There's someone out there who doesn't?

"She Loves Me" is one of my all-time favorites. Back "In Days Gone By," I used to croak out "Tonight at Eight" at some of the less-reputable piano bars in the city (some of them being better-reputable before I became a regular, but that's-another-story-never-mind).
