BTW, DR JRand63, following upon yesterday's little discussion:  About how large is your collection of movies?  What are we talking here, ballpark?

Friday morning greetings!  It's very melty here in SW Ohio after a little fresh snowfall last night.  After a couple of busy days, I'm taking it slow this morning.

Now, if you interpolated "Silly People" (Frid's cut song from Night Music, but you all knew that already, right?) into the show, that would make things interesting! :)

It certainly would! And it also brings to light that my memory is faulty; the butler in Annie is Drake. Frid belongs solely to A Little Night Music.      :P

They're saying on CNN there could be criminal charges in that New Jersey traffic scandal.

The original lyric in ANNIE was

When you wake, ring for Drake
Drake will bring your tray
When you're through, Mrs. Pugh
Comes to take Frid away

But they changed it out of town

I've made my letted of agreement for the NYC cast of ROBERTA and my appointment for my 2013 taxes and I'm exhausted.

I spoke to Robert Kimball, and we will indeed have lunch today at the Red Lobster at 12:30.  When he and I went to the Indiana Opera Theatre production of my reconstruction of Cole Porter's JUBILEE in 1990, we dined at the Red Lonster in Bloomington before the performance.  It will be good to see him.

If they restored the cut song, then most definitely Frid. Otherwise, Drake probably has a bit more to do onstage.

I'm looking at around 3,000 here.  Which doesn't even seem possible, in spite of the fact that that's titles, not discs.  Oy!

I have a particular fondness for Red Lobster, and I'm sorry to hear Darden wants to sell that one off instead of Olive Garden.

Had no idea there was one in NYC.

The Hal Leonard Corporation has announced the release of the new songbook series “SONDHEIM FOR SINGERS.” The five volumes of the series present 128 songs from 26 shows or films. There is a different contents list for each volume: Soprano, Belter/Mezzo-Soprano, Tenor, Baritone/Bass, Duets.Songs appear in original keys, categorized by voice type. (The Duets volume is all original keys.) There are also appropriate and practical transpositions of Sondheim standards, almost all of which appear in print for the first time. This deep and generous selection, from this amazing body of work, includes the most famous Sondheim songs as well as rarities.First editions of the original duet version of “Take Me to the World,” and new solo editions of “Old Friends,” “Getting Married Today,” “I’ve Got You to Lean On,” “More” and “Everybody Ought to Have a Maid” are interesting highlights for Sondheim fans. Barbara Cook’s keys from the 1985 Follies in Concert for “Losing My Mind” and “In Buddy’s Eyes” appear in print for the first time in the Soprano volume. Sondheim’s enlightening “Author’s Notes” about songs cut from shows are included in this edition.

Don't worry. They can simply bring in Godzilla to take care of them.

In 2001, Richard, Rob and I ate at Red Lobster in Kearney, Nebraska, and laughed that we were probably as far from an ocean as you can get in the continental United States.

Whoa.  That would seem to stretch the old adage, "if you can't see the water, don't order the fish"...
