Well, you've read the notes, the notes had adventures and plumbing, and now it is time for you to post until the adventurous cows come home.

I love "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile," also.  I was in a local production of Annie almost 20 years ago.  I played Fred McCracken and his dummy Wacky, along with probably four or five other characters.  I know I had seven costume changes.  It was a lot of fun and several people that I met doing that show are still very good friends of mine. :)

Good morning.

My plumber for many years lives two doors down. So very handy!

Good morning, all.

Oy!   Who knew I was going to awaken to a solid white world today?  Just an inch of snow, but...solid, man.  Serves me right for being complacent and not checking weather yesterday since I knew we were on this warming trend and tomorrow it will be 55.  Sheesh.

Let's see if the driveway clears itself.  That would be the ticket.

Coffee!

It's amazing the weather difference between CT and NY when we are so close. We have no snow at all. It's only 32 but nothing other than haze. It's supposed to get up to 42 and then tomorrow we are supposed to have rain and near 60 degrees.

Morning, all!

bk: Please send Terri White my fondest regards. Hopefully, she still remembers me as the goofy Jewish kid at Rose's Turn from way back in the day. Is this a working lunch (he asked hopefully)?

I just realized that "You're Never Fully Dressed" is missing from the Hebrew cast recording of Annie. No wonder I don't like it so much.

TOD:
Ye olde iPod: the aforementioned Israeli cast recording of Annie
DVD drive: Bill Cosby, "Far From Finished" (even at 70% of his best, which I think he is here, the man is brilliant)
Bus reading:"The Student's Obligation" (early 20th-century work from the last chassidic rabbi of the Warsaw ghetto)

Good morning, all!  I got depressed about my current financial state, taxes, the IRS, and my life, and did not want to get out of bed this morning.  I am bathed, dressed, and on my second cup of coffee.

The good news today is that the recording schedule for Feb 23-26 is now confirmed and I can freeze the recording schedule.  The bad news is that I have to call my accountant, schedule my tax appointment, and ponder how to financially survive for the next couple of months.

I believe I am having lunch with Robert Kimball today, but I haven't heard from him. I must email him now.

I have played Frid (the butler) in a production of Annie. It was fun. However, the moppets (girls) often fouled up some of my laughs by not following their blocking consistently.

I Blew Up, and I Don't Care - I think that is the working title of Mitzi Gaynor's autobiography.

Mitzi told that story that soon after she and her husband were married, they honeymooned in New York.  Ethel Merman, of course, was doing a show on Broadway.  They had gotten along famously when they made "There's No Business Like Show Business" a few years earlier.  Ethel called her up and invited her to the show.

Mitzi:  Well, gee, Mom, we're here on our honeymoon.

Ethel:  Well for chrissakes can't you stop for a minute and get out of the hotel?

TOD:

I received a review copy of Criterion's IT'S A MAD (4) WORLD this week, and I'm anxious to view the restored roadshow version.  So, that's what I'll probably watch.

Great Mitzi/Ethel story, JRand. Memorization vibes for the rest of your part.

Well, ignore my previous post. We have snow in Manhattan. It will be gone by tomorrow or Sunday due to the temperatures, but we have it nonetheless.

Now, if you interpolated "Silly People" (Frid's cut song from Night Music, but you all knew that already, right?) into the show, that would make things interesting! :)
