I have a particular fondness for Red Lobster, and I'm sorry to hear Darden wants to sell that one off instead of Olive Garden.

Had no idea there was one in NYC.

DR John;

In regards to watching BEFORE MIDNIGHT, you are probably right that it would  be better to see them in order.  Thanks!

Have you seen all three?

Oy.  Sorry to hear that.

They're also announcing that, naturally, December's bad news about the hacking is still worse than originally thought.

Went to Wal-Mart for groceries....it was full of kids who are away from school for the 5th day in a row....adding five days to their Christmas break....  And mothers who didn't care where their kids were or what they were doing....in WalMart.....

Of course I got stuck trying to get out of the driveway.....but I did make it back IN.  I do not think I will be making the 35 mile drive to Greencastle for the read-thru...because our secondary roads are still not cleared, although the weather is doing a better job than our Road Crews.

Truth be told, there are a couple of Target stores in the area that I like more than the one here in town.  Ours is small and doesn't have a big selection, but it has been pretty darn convenient.

And, I always pay with cash...

If they restored the cut song, then most definitely Frid. Otherwise, Drake probably has a bit more to do onstage.

What is this anyway?  Frid-day?

We have a number of folks out sick in our agency...all with the flu...and all have been out all of this week and some of last week.

Others who are not sick are scrambling to find places giving flu shots.   The vaccine being given now differs from that given back in October.  I'm told that since H1N1 has made a resurgence in recent weeks, some doctors are suggesting folks get a second shot.

I see my doctor Monday and will ask about this.

Meanwhile, sniffle, sniffle....am desperately fighting something but am not feeling bad, otherwise.

How many of those have you watched, DR ChasSmith?

I will need to live to a very ripe old age, say 225 or so, in order to get around to watching all of the DVDs/DVDrs that I own.

And yet, I keep buying more.

I just spent 45 minutes snow-blowing a few hundred feet of driveway.

Ridiculous effort, when you know Mother Nature will have taken care of it by tomorrow.  But when you gotta have mobility, and be safe about it, you gotta do it.

I just realized that "You're Never Fully Dressed" is missing from the Hebrew cast recording of Annie. No wonder I don't like it so much.

Elan, do you mean this recording?  I have that, too!  ;D

The Hal Leonard Corporation has announced the release of the new songbook series “SONDHEIM FOR SINGERS.” The five volumes of the series present 128 songs from 26 shows or films. There is a different contents list for each volume: Soprano, Belter/Mezzo-Soprano, Tenor, Baritone/Bass, Duets.Songs appear in original keys, categorized by voice type. (The Duets volume is all original keys.) There are also appropriate and practical transpositions of Sondheim standards, almost all of which appear in print for the first time. This deep and generous selection, from this amazing body of work, includes the most famous Sondheim songs as well as rarities.First editions of the original duet version of “Take Me to the World,” and new solo editions of “Old Friends,” “Getting Married Today,” “I’ve Got You to Lean On,” “More” and “Everybody Ought to Have a Maid” are interesting highlights for Sondheim fans. Barbara Cook’s keys from the 1985 Follies in Concert for “Losing My Mind” and “In Buddy’s Eyes” appear in print for the first time in the Soprano volume. Sondheim’s enlightening “Author’s Notes” about songs cut from shows are included in this edition.
SOPRANO (43 Songs). Order here: http://amzn.to/KIQgqr
BELTER/MEZZO SOPRANO (45 Songs). Order here:http://amzn.to/KIQqOk
TENOR (39 Songs). Order here: http://amzn.to/KIQLkh
BARITONE/BASS (40 Songs). Order here: http://amzn.to/KIQYUu
DUETS (29 Songs). Order here: http://amzn.to/KIR7au

Wow!  Thanks for the post.  I bought the Duets book just for "Take Me To the World."  That's never been published in the duet form...and since I still have a bunch o' money left on my Amazon Christmas gift card(s) balance, it's costing me nothing. :D

You really had a doubt as to whether it was the same or not? There aren't all that many shows with multiple Hebrew cast recordings. (My Fair Lady is the only one I know about, and the revival cast kicks the original's tuchis, except for the original Alfred Doolitle, who is just great. C'mon, there's gotta be someone out there I can start a flame war with over this... :) )

Happy Friday, All!

I'd say, Yaay for the weekend, but my weekend is Monday. Only. Hi ho the glamorous life.  :D

Nothing in my DVD player. Too much rehearsal and lyrics to fine tune. BK, if you ever need someone to do the Tchaikovsky number, I almost have it down.

I did watch the second episode of the new season of the BBC Sherlock last night. It just gets better and better!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I've had a nice luncheon outing: I had a wonderful 2-hour visit with Robert Kimball and a tasty lunch: clam chowder, Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. Then, on the 104 bus I ran into my newly married friends Cathie and Alice who were heading home from the Met dress rehearsal of LA BOHEME. And the payments for the ROBERTA cast have been approved.

So far, a good day.

No complaints.
