Bruce, I'm sorry you had such a tough time with the food poisoning. As awful as it is to lose your cookies (and I don't mean the computer kind) like that, you're better off getting those offenders out of your system.
Anything with ginger in it helps nausea. There's a crystalized ginger that you can buy at the health food store (other places, too?) that you can keep with you in a little baggie. I've kept it with me while traveling at times. You don't need to eat much at all and it's very portable.
