Well, "The Women" was still the laugh-riot I fell in love with when I was 8 or 9 years old. It was playing on the afternoon Million Dollar Movie. It was so long the station showed it over two days, and I remember the catfight between Roz Russell and Paulette Godard as if it were yesterday.

Back from a really fun workshop session, a brief stop at House of Pies, and then a work session with Kyra Da Costa at the house.  Muse Margaret called while I was out - she seems very happy with the pages according to her message, but I won't get to talk to her until morning.  Meanwhile, on I go right now - must do three or four pages.

Power is flickering. I'm not happy with that. Just read on the other website that my boss has lost cable at his house. I have firewood and can build a fire in the fireplace if I have to. But I would rather not.

I am back, following a very long afternoon of running about on errands, then schlepping almost an hour away to an HTF friend's "home theater" for IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD -- the reconstruction of which is quite rewarding and was well worth the trip to see it on his 128" (straight left to right measurement, not diagonal) screen.

I really really REALLY have to think about going to a projection system.    Seriously.

Does that seem large?  It isn't, in a house, and his is the standard ubiquitous cookie-cutter "raised ranch".  I have an 18x19 foot room in mine, and could beat his 128-inch screen -- which I can assure you is very impressive -- without trying.  So what's holding me back?  Oh, I dunno.  Maybe the three grand price tag for the projector?  :)   Otherwise, hell, let's go for it!
