This year they had a red "carpet" and photographers to take our pictures

we were encouraged to dress as if we were to walk the red carpet.

I scoured the local thrift shops and finally found a dress sequined, beaded, and rhinestoned within an inch of its life

Dinner was great.  I passed out CD's that I made called "The Last 45 Years" made up of music of the last 45 years that have been inspirational in my life or have somewhat made up the "soundtrack" of my life.  It was too fun, and I could have filled a second CD.

NBC has just announced that the series HEROES will return in 2015 as a limited run series with a new cast and new characters.  It will be called HEROES REBORN.

The Zsa Zsa & Charo Repertory Theatre and Traveling Phantom Present
A New Duality of Comic Surrealism
Now Without Zsa Zsa and Charo

"Gimme Some Tooth"

Lou: HEY RABBOTT!  I need help with today's word.
Bud: Okay.  Lemme see.  I got it.  Do you know -some words?
Lou: Of course I do.  I know lotsa words.  I was the smartest kid in the Third Grade.  I was so smart, I repeated it 4 times!
Bud: Can you tell me -some words?
Lou: That's what I've been doin'.  Whaddaya think I'm talkin' with, Morse code?
Bud: Well, . . . .
Lou: Howsa 'bout: apple, cat, dog, tree, fire hydrant . . . .
Bud: No, -some words.
Lou: But those are some words!  You didn't say which words, you said some and I told you some.
Bud: No, those aren't -some words, those are objects.
Lou: HA! HA!  I object to that!  Whaddaya want from me?  I ain't in school no more.  I said some words.  Ain't that enough?
Bud: No, -some words are like: handsome, gruesome . . . .
Lou: Oh yeah!  That reminds me of my vegetable garden.  It was gruesome.
Bud: Why?  Did you have an infestation?
Lou: Of course.  I infested a lot of time and money in my garden and so it gruesome.
Bud: Never mind!  Anyway, you simply add -some and you get new words.
Lou: I always add somes and I always wind up owing you!
Bud: Today's word is toothsome.  Have you ever heard of that word before?
Lou: Can't say that I have, but I'm sure my dentist has!
Bud: Okay wise guy.  You use it in a sentence.
Lou: You win some and you lose some, you one some and you toothsome.
Bud: No, toothsome can mean someone who is attractive.
Lou: Yes, I know.  Anytime a pretty girl walks down the street, I always toothsome horn at her.  I even whistle to boot!

I've been really anxious a lot lately.  I think it's just the sudden surge of work has been a bit overwhelming, so I've been working on making that better.  I went to the office and took all the piles of papers off my desk and brought them home and went through them.  I also brought a couple more files home that I'll work on tomorrow.

Then I cleaned the kitchen and did all the laundry.  Having those chores done makes me relax.  Last weekend I was busy both Saturday and Sunday and as a result didn't get my chores done.   It really bugs me when I don't have the time to take care of myself

The project I got done last night was a big help and I reviewed some things at the office and made a couple big decisions today that will make things fall into place.  I'm feeling much better

I have flute choir practice tomorrow afternoon, but frankly, if I don't have things together enough to feel comfortable going into Monday, I'm not going to go.  Work and my sanity just have to come first.

If flute choir was here in town and I didn't have to drive an hour to go there, it would be easier to just take a break and practice, but with the travel time it takes a half day to do it.  Right now, I just don't have the half day.   We don't have any performances coming up, so it isn't THAT big a deal, but I feel bad not going so I may still go, we'll see.
