Wednesday morning greetings!  Sheesh, I've been on line and on the phone all morning.  Last week I discovered that my credit card was being reissued by the company with a new number, so I had to update with all the places where I use it for automatic payments.  I think I'm done, except for one I need to do in person.  What a bother!

Here is my friend Tina, one of our book sale chairs, being interviewed about next weekend's event:

AAUW Middletown's 58th Annual Book Sale on TV Middletown

Isn't the new venue beautiful?

One snow storm was enough, for us on the west coast that is.

We are back to warmer temps in the 50s, and sunshine at times.

Back from a lovelier than lovely haircut with Teddy.  He's doing several folks for the Vanity Fair Oscar bash, including Liza, Jackie Collins and Raquel.

Thanks for the vibes DR TCB

I'm home from a short hike, tea with a friend, and errands.  The water is back on and they are currently installing the hot water heater :)

Once they are done I can run the dishwasher.

And I am home. ROBERTA is recorded and we will do the final edit in May. Everything went smoothly, and I think we got some good performances committed to sound.

Now I need a nap.

Well, it's the end of an era.  Last night, I got an e-mail from Capital Playhouse saying that they are no more.  They were a local community theater group that has been around for probably more than 25 years and put on some wonderful shows.  They owed $7500 in back rent AND another $64,502.22 in back taxes!  The IRS accepted "an Offer In Compromise"...the original debt owed was $220,000!! :o

Theater Artists Olympia was hoping to put on The Rocky Horror Show at their space.  We'll obviously have to make some other arrangements.  We did raise some money from Indiegogo.com, so we have to honor those pledges in some appropriate way.  There is a possibility to buy some of their equipment (any sales would go towards the IRS back taxes), so even though we don't have a lot of money to spend, we could help them a little...and help ourselves a bit, too.

Anyway, the very first shows that I performed in Olympia after I graduated from college were with Capital Playhouse (actually, their official name was "Capitol Playhouse '24" back then...yes, the '24 was part of their name...I don't know why).  I made some very good friends during that time and learned a LOT about acting, just by watching and doing.

They will be missed.

It is sad when place like this close up.

It is very nice Ginny.  Is it also much larger than your old space?
