Just caught up with last night's late postings. That's a truly horrible story, DR Dan. I would contact a TV station. The story of a person being robbed of money from a charity is not only horrific on its own terms, but it might also make others take a look to see if it's happened to them.

The banks need to have the spotlight shined on them for allowing this kind of theft to happen in the first place...and then doing nothing when it does.

I don't know, call me crazy, but if you go to the Kritzerland site there's a big image of Red Gold and if you click on it you get right to the item page.  So, I'm a bit baffled why a) someone would click on "books" instead, or not use the direct link provided in last night's posts or today's notes.  It is indeed wrong if you go to "books" and Doug will fix that shortly, but for anyone who's interested in ordering, it's quite easy to do so.

TOD:

I had a lot of comic books when I was a kid, SUPERMAN and DICK TRACY being among of my favorites.

I also really loved the EC Comics, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, THE HAUNT OF FEAR, etc.

I don't read comic books any longer.

A fan of my writing posted a rave review on Amazon for B MOVIE.

Then, about an hour or so later, it totally disappeared.

But, their review still appears on their personal review page...and they assured me that they did not remove it from the book page.

Very sad to learn that former Mr. Olympia and one time actor (was in MUSCLE BEACH PARTY), Larry Scott passed away last week. He had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease  :-[

Also, Richard Coogan, perhaps best known to many as Captain Video (but best known to me as the lead in Mamie Van Doren's VICE RAID) has also passed away. He was really quite a good actor, I always thought. He also starred in the the TV western THE CALIFORNIANS.

Oh, I appreciate the alert - just surprised anyone would go that route when the cover of the book is smack dab center on the splash page.

Third time in a week they're filming here, and I'm about to raise holy hell again about the crew parking where they shouldn't.

"The Voice" has died. Great to learn the name of the man who's voice narrated so many previews:

Boy, it sure is, and I've only sampled the first few moments of each track.  This is some truly great musical fun.  I'll be cranking it up and enjoying it tonight.

(Love the intro to "You're My Living Doll".)   :)    (Oy.  RIP, Susan G.)   :(

I personally followed the link you provided here (which worked). But when DR Elmore said he had a problem I went to the Kritzerland site.  I was not on my regular computer (I was on a slower one) and the pictures with the books did not appear. So i clicked on books and then on the book title.

I am devastated to hear about DR Dan M's problem. I can't imagine how the thieves could have succeeded if the bank were following proper ID protocol.

Seriously.  How can this happen?  I can't even imagine walking up and cashing a twenty dollar check without showing some ID -- including my drivers license -- to the teller, let alone something sizable.  And they aren't following up and checking their security tapes?  Do you have a local TV station that takes up things like this for investigation (read:  public bank embarrassment, which is the very last thing they want)?  This is the kind of thing that leaves one speechless.

I just remembered, when we moved to Michigan the second time the workmen had trouble cashing my checks because my signature didn't match on one on record due to a major injury to my hand.  At least that was what I had originally thought until I figured out Keith had forged my signature since I couldn't use my hand. ;D

DR Jennifer I did not read the funny blurb.  If I don't fall asleep soon I will begin the book having already finished my last one.

The blurb isn't funny. IT is downright one of the creepiest things i've ever read!

LOL I guess I'm glad I missed it.  I am having a bit of trouble reading this book and reliving my life since my shoulder was broken.  Actually I would have liked to initially have had it as easy as she is.  I bet she heals better too, well I expect so as she needs to shoot again to keep her job ;)
