Last week there was a Playbill audio clip with 14 unnamed women singing I'm Still Here. This week they posted the answers.

I'm Still Here, the Answers

Thank you, Ben. I didn't do too well. Georgia Brown sounds like Eartha Kitt -- and Georgia Brown combined.

From DR Chas:

DR Jane, Morgantown has some interesting locales and the nearby Cooper's Rock lockout (10 or 15 minutes east on I-68) is stunning, but the town can be HELL to get through whenever anything's going on at the University.  Big games, graduation, you name it.  Just stay away.  That said, I have special feelings for it because my mother's family came from there and we'd visit when I was a kid.  I was especially enchanted with the topography.

I think Cooper's Rock is the beautiful area Craig and Yogi met Bryan and Kate (about half way between them).  The photos were beautiful.  Craig said it is a beautiful state and will be going on a short trip there this summer with friends.  They have rented a cabin.  My mistake was wanting to stay in the town, which fortunately we couldn't find a room since there was a game.  It was really just an overnight stop as our destination was Maryland.  I would have liked to have time to explore more of the state.

Thank you DR Slingdaw.

Getting to Cleveland to see Bryan turned into a big challenge when our flight to San Francisco was delayed causing us to miss our connection to Cleveland.  It took all my control not to cry.  Bryan only had one day off for us to be with him, plus dinner the night we arrived.  A kind person at United who was about to leave work spent over an hour trying to get us to Cleveland.  The best she could do was a 9 hour layover in LA with a red-eye to Cleveland.  We truly wanted to be functioning for our short time with Bryan.  I finally asked if we could fly to Detroit, or any other city, and drive from there to Cleveland.  We were able to fly to Detroit but we still had to get to San Francisco.  There was another flight about to go but it was completely booked.  Unbeknownst to us the woman assisting us and been checking the flight every 15 minutes and suddenly exclaimed 2 seats opened up and I grabbed them for you.  Thank goodness as our scheduled flight was eventually canceled.

Instead of arriving at our hotel around 7:00PM we arrived at 12:30AM and were very grateful to be there.

We had a nice day with Bryan and Kate at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  He drove us past the Cleveland Clinic and his neighborhood.  In the evening we went to the Porco Lounge & Tiki Room with old fashioned drinks.  I had an incredible Mai Tai and Keith had a Fog Cutter, which they are apparently known for.  http://www.tikiroom.com/tikicentral/bb/viewtopic.php?topic=46233&forum=2

Happy to see Jane back - and she'll be happy to know Red Gold is now a Nook book and it's also on amazon for Kindle.

Great news!!! :)

I just ordered it.  When I can read it will depend on the arrival of my next library book.  I have several that I'm next in line for and, unfortunately in this case, library books are read first as they must be read before the due date.

Yes, it's not just the gridlock that's a problem  --  there aren't nearly enough hotels/motels to handle the University events.  The rooms sell out early and expensively during those times.

The amazing thing about Cooper's Rock is that you drive in and park, and the rock itself which is a major lookout point is, like, a five-minute walk away.  It was probably my mother's favorite spot when growing up there, they took me up when I was a kid, and I've been there twice in the past five years while visiting relatives.  It's one of most stupendous views.

Is it far from the freeway?  I hope so or I'm going to feel bad we didn't detour ;)

Beautiful stuff. I always get a wonderful taste of apricot in that bourbon. I have met the current master distiller of that a few times and knew the former one, Lincoln Henderson, who created the brand, I think.

Ordering proper bourbon Old Fashions with Craig we had Bullocks in them.  I now know why he complains most places don't make a proper Old Fashioned.  There should not be club soda or maraschino cherries.

DR JR&63,

Do you have any favorite songs of Josh Groban?

Mine are (so far) , BRAVE, FALLING SLOWLY, THE MOON IS A HARSH MISTRESS, AND HAPPY IN MY HEARTACHE.

I would like to try to learn some of these songs on my guitar.
