Good morning, all! I slept late, and it will be a rather lazy day for me. I have no plans, beyond another listen to Act One of ROBERTA and lounging about.

No sherpas arrived, but I did put away the accumulation of books littering the apartment since last August.  There;s more cleaning I want to do, but I'm stymied until the bathroom is in shape and everything cluttering the apartment is in its usual place.

DR Cillaliz, that mural of Paul's is really stunning. Thanks for sharing it. I'm sorry to hear that your relative is lingering in hospice, but I'm guessing, since he's talking to her, that his wife has arrived and she's waiting to take him with her. Perhaps his relatives should talk to him and give him permission to die. My last words to my dad were, I'll love you and miss you forever, but if Mom says to you, come with me, i want to you to go.

DR Jennifer, what a good day for your niece!

Great travel vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.

Today is our Season Open House wherein we present a few G/D numbers to a small crowd more interested in the free food.

There will be photos.

Well DR SINGDAW yes you would think that I would have some say......but NOBODY knows anything about lighting except this ONE person, you see, and we just don't understand the concept.

I will ask him that question....but since he is directing LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS for August, I am guessing that he is thinking ahead about where he wants the lights for his show.  And of course, since all of the NEW equipment is upstage, he doesn't have any dimmers for the backstage strip lights, so the crew is basically working in the dark most of the time.

My car needs a new engine fan.....cost is $400 - and hopefully it will be ready tomorrow.  I will then only need to find someone to take me over there.  My nephew is letting me use his truck today, which is very nice of him.

He certainly worked all the time, God knows why. But then, the whole film of CAROUSEL is so misguided it's pathetic.

No posts for an hour?

And now my day is wide open. I'll look over my recording notes, and ponder my week.

AN INSPECTOR CALLS is one of the plays that I did (in 1960) at the Penthouse Theater at the University of Washington.  I played the father.

I wish somebody would release the movie onto DVD (or Blu-Ray) in the United States.

The movie is certainly not perfect, but isn't "pathetic" going a bit too far?

I'm going to make some dreadfully decadent later today:  Donut bread pudding with a whiskey sauce.

Someone brought donuts into work on Friday and, well, they were going to be tossed. I figured this was a better solution.

I will be having quite an international day today. Around noon I will be heading over to the Sikh gurdwara as several of our India-US members were invited.

Then, this evening my down the hall neighbor Khadija, who has now earned her MBA and will be returning to Saudi Arabia next week, is having a party, with Arabic food served, for her friends here in the apartment building, which includes me!

Last night I watched two really fun low budget sci fi thrillers on Amazon.com.

THE UNKNOWN ISLAND (1948) starred Richard Denning, and Virginia Grey. Somehow I had never seen this one, but it was very enjoyable, and in color!

The other was DESTINATION INNER SPACE (1966) starring Gary Merrill, Scott Brady, Sheree North, Mike Road and Wendy Wagner. How they ended up in this is anyone's guess, but they must have owed some favors. Again, it was great fun!

I know I saw this one as a kid, but other than the monster I really didn't recall anything about it.

I am getting ready to go for a bike ride.  But it is actually really hot outside.  I think it should be fine around the lake. Only thing is that there may be a lot of people walking today.

A local guy, Luca della Casa, is one of the competitors. Wishing the best for him. He's really a nice man.

Just watched Grease 2. In some ways, it's a better made movie than the first, but the script and songs lack the energy of the first.

Page two?  Really?  LAST week was Memorial Day weekend not THIS weekend.  Let's get us a frenzy or nine because this page two malarky is going to cause me to say something very rude like UNDERPANTS.
