This is rich! And light of yesterday's TOD: a burglar was caught because he just couldn't resist checking his Facebook account from a computer in the home he was robbing. When he left, he forgot to log out...

This morning, I am driving a friend and one of her daughters to the airport.  They're going to California to the visit the college where the daughter will going in the fall.  I really should be in bed so that I can get up very early. :P

Good night and have a good day, all!

I didn't get as much sleep as I had wanted (big surprise there), but I got the girls to the airport in time.  We chatted on the way up, but on my way back, I listened to the German cast recording of Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."  I love this recording, even though I don't speak German.

Didn't realize that these Sondheim interviews were available on iTunes:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/stephen-sondheim-in-his-own/id668620353

I'm not at home so I can't check, but if these are what I think they are, I was able to download them for free from iTunes when the CD compilation was first released.  If they're not the same things, I'll definitely get these.

And I am home from market. The Man from Philadelphia just sent me 5,000 words on the Battle of the Marne to condense to about a 60 word paragraph. Jesus Christ!

I think I'll cut up some celery for therapy.

Larry, just pick 60 random words and call it good.

The saddest thing about Jacques Bergerac's passing is that no one could understand his last words.....at least I could never understand a word he said.

LOL! All that really mattered was how pretty he looked!

Wow, Bk, what a mess to wake up to. I used to sell things on eBay and I had some real doozies. Professional victims who try to pseudo-righteously bully you into giving them things they don't deserve. What lunatic nerve to open a Paypal claim before even hearing from you. What an idiot. Unfortunately, the only way to handle them is to let them know that you're not a pushover, and you won't put up with their BS. I think you did the right thing by laying down the law hard, and cutting her out for good. But how exasperating!

The Stritch Documentary is next on my Netflix queue!!  :D

That's the best Elaine Stritch story I've ever heard!

:D

It was a good story.  I was just reading the importance of hitting a deer, if you can't stop, at an angle so that it doesn't go through your window.  Seems you instinctively did the right thing.

If I did, it was totally unconscious because it seemed there was no time to do anything but hit the brakes to lessen the impact.  But yes, the front corner of the car took it all, and all I was aware of was maintaining control of the car while we slowed and came to a stop at the side of the road.

I've thought about the reality and consequences of a deer or other large animal being thrown into the windshield, and that's got to be one the most horrifying things ever.

Especially if the large animal has horns, such as a stag.

They also have a store on the campus of the University of Northwest Ohio in Lima.  It's always closed when we're in town.

There's been a B&N for quite a few years here in Olympia.  It still seems to be doing well.

I'm surprised that no one's mentioned this, yet...Eli Wallach, veteran character actor, dead at 98.

Wow...98 very long and continually productive years!

Here's the photo I've been waiting for from my cousin's wedding last month.  Left to right, my niece Laura, my sister, me, cousin Dan from Japan, cousin Perry (groom), bride Pam, Dan & Perry's paternal cousin Karen, Rob, Mary Linda.

That's a great picture, Ginny!
