BK and I have apparently been watching some of the same Netflix movies lately. I recently viewed MY BEST ENEMY. Excellent. A different sort of WWII drama.

Happy Sunday, all!

BK, I went to see opening night of Damn Yankees, and didn't realize that our own little Kritzer-starlet, Chelsea Emma Franko was playing Gloria the nosey news girl. She was wonderful, as was Cynthia Ferrer. They had a great Joe Hardy and Lola, and lots of talent with great voices. The orchestra sounded wonderful too.

Chelsea said you have to come and see her. (there, I've done her bidding

Of course, I still had issue with that one piece of casting. For me, it was the one thing that didn't work. If you're gonna make cast a kid, he better have some gravitas and the ability to scare, and not just being a pest, having tantrums, and lots of schmancy costumes up his sleeve. But hey, that's just me.

Jane, I created my outfit around 2 pieces of Grandma Palmer's jewelry that I wanted to wear to Lauren's wedding - the gold coin around my neck and the opal ring on my right hand. I've had that skirt for more than 10 years and, yes, I also wear it with a green jacket or with a yellow sweater. My wrist "corsage" is ribbon flowers on a beige enamel bracelet that matched perfectly.

Back from a going-away par-tay for a woman who has been a revered and indispensable member of the local theater community for at least the couple of decades that I've been around it. Fortunately, she's not going too far away -- she'll be living in the Poconos region of northeastern Pennsylvania -- but we'll miss her frequent participation and always expert assistance.

Jeanne had actually asked about your outfit, which was the only reason I didn't. Your new shoes looked nice with the outfit. I've also worn family jewelry to special family events. You did great coordinating your outfit, but then you seem to have a talent for that.

Oh sure, any number of us will. Driving distance is two hours or less, so not a big deal distance-wise. And she'll be popping back up here for all of our opening nights.

Went to see Chef this afternoon. Surprisingly better than I had thought. There's some fun social commentary in there as well as some great supporting performances. Bobby Canavale, Dustin Hoffman, Scarlett Johansen and Robert Downey Jr. were all really effective, even if there parts were tiny.

Oops, sorry, DR Jeanne - guess I'm more tired than I realized!

DR Jane, I only wore my new shoes, which have a somewhat high wedge heel, for the ceremony and official photos. On the way to the reception I changed into my flat ECCO sandals and wore them the rest of the evening.

I think we HAD a month to month lease DR JANE. I don't now for sure....but it doesn't matter....he won't accept any more rent from my sister, and we are out on the 15th. She doesn't plan to reopen the store anyplace else.

We will all move on.

DR Ginny, I love the photos from the wedding. I agree that you and Richard both look great and your outfit looks wonderful. I think it's fabulous you got to help Lauren with her dress. It's very clear that you all are very close and that she thinks the world of you and Richard. So glad you had a wonderful time.

JRand sorry about World of Wisdom. I just talked to a candy store owner here who is closing this month for similar reasons. It's sad to see independent businesses have to close.
