I just spoke to my adopted son Joshie. His violin teacher Suzy and my drummer friend Ray Marchica had posted about the killing of violinist Mary Whitaker last week. She played Joshie's orchestration of The Cradle Will rock at City Center last summer.

Will read that other one later.  Off to rehearsal!

And it's this site for me, too, past half hour or so.

Bruce I find it interesting you don't like Anderson's accent since she learned to speak while living in England.  Although she is from the States she lived there until she was 11.

I've seen interviews where she talks about that.  I would've thought that her accent would be pretty accurate...unless moving back to the states made her forget what it should really sound like.

;)

Did she sound English in the interviews?

I saw a couple of interviews with her on some British shows on BBC America and she used a British accent for them.  But for any interview in the states, she has always used an American accent.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LENNY!

That heroin really aged Lenny Bruce!

In 1988 or 89, I forget now, i was Michael Tilson Thomas' librarian for a Gershwin Gala at Brooklyn Academy of music, and the broadcast won an Emmy award.  Bernstein played one or more of the three Preludes, and he was very high; so were an actor/dancer and ballet star who'd been doing coke like there was no tomorrow. So, before and after his performance, Bernstein was hopped up and running around backstage French kissing everyone he ran into. Oy! Run for your life!!!

As to the actor/dancer, I ran into him on Broadway about a week later, still stoned out of his mind, and he had died his hair magenta.  He was very nice, actually, just a mess.

I am home from therapy and back to it on Thursday at 1:00; they are taking Friday-Monday off for Labor Day.  I stopped at the bank since I had to APPLY for the overdrawn charges to be refunded. What a jackass group of bankers.

However, I got home to discover that Rodgers & Hammerstein may have (I typed MAY HAVE) a wonderful editing job for me in the not-too-far future. The sooner the better, in my book.

If it happens.

Great possible(I typed POSSIBLE) news for Elmore!

More TOD - I've often told Richard that it would take us a long time to starve in our house, but it might get pretty weird after a while.

Oh, yes, a jar of Peanut Butter is also a staple in my pantry.

There was a time the vienna sausages would have been in there, too.  I often opened a can, rinsed them, and then put them in a small bowl with vinegar.  I would eat them with saltines.

Saltine crackers are also a pantry staple.

Sad thing, though, is that I OD'd on vienna sausages once.  Don't remember why.  Now I gag at the thought of them.

In the frig: milk, butter, veggies, tofu, seitan, condiments, jam, maple syrup, cheese, yogurt, eggs, opened nuts, fruit, soda, beer & wine.

In the pantry: baking ingredients, spices, nuts, beans, soup, crackers, matzos, cereal, peanut butter, tuna, olives, olive & avocado oils, raisins & other dried fruit.

Since we have tuna in the house for Keith I keep extra in case of an emergency.  I also try to keep an unopened jar of peanut butter for the same reason.

Freezer: bread, ice cream, peas, carrots, blueberries, assorted vegetarian burgers & bacon, butter, and often cookie dough balls.

I love the cover, but you might get more work if you put your name on the cover.

I'm in the booklet. That's plenty. I'm proud of my work, and that's where my name should be.

I just finished reading my 100th book for the year.  At almost 900 pages I'm glad it was an excellent one.  Has anyone read "I Know This Much Is True" by Wally Lamb or anything else he wrote?

There are many many things in my refrigerator, freezer and pantry  My earlier list isn't even close.  I eat at home a lot.  I try to come home for lunch every day, but don't always do it.  I rarely eat out at night.  I have a fully stocked kitchen so I can cook whatever tickles my fancy
