THREE ADAMS
« on: September 21, 2014, 12:01:56 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had three Adams and no Eves, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're trying to figure out what Three Adams are.

Yesterday at the Rose City Comic Con while my niece was getting her autographs/photographs, I looked around a bit and bought a deck of Steampunk Cthulhu playing cards and I got the box autographed by the illustrator of the cards.  He's a great illustrator (and was VERY cute ;) )!  Here's the front of the box:

I didn't break the seal, but I was able to open it from the bottom and look at the cards (I won't post pictures of them...too many).  The face cards really beautifully drawn.  The illustrator, Nathanael Iwata, wrote and illustrated a book, "Steampunk Alphabet."

He also did a Kickstarter campaign to produce his Steampunk Pirates playing cards.  The face card images are, of course, all different, as are the designs of the suits.  They're all really cool!

The retreat center was lovely, the food was fine, and it was great to rehearse and "gell" as a group, too.

And, DR Cillaliz, regarding your mother's conclusion about church musicians:  they certainly are!

Although, sometimes, they have good cause to be so.        ;D

Really loved the TV segment also.    Hoping the event goes great today.  (I was able to watch it on Skip's computer.)

I wonder if "Too Darn Hot" in Pasadena Playhouse's Kiss Me Kate had gotten chuckles during the heat wave.

This is Mt. Roraima. It is the triple border point of Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana, and is one of the oldest geological formations on Earth!
