I went to my local scrapbooking store to see how much they charged for 14 inch scrapbooking scissors. And they said they don't sell them. :(

The only place I've seen lots of choices is amazon.com. But half of them don't ship to Canada.And the other half want to charge more than the price of the scissors to ship them. :(

I really can't believe you haven't found them.  Did someone in the house take them to use them as a tool?

I do have more than 27 years of experience of sending packages to Canada

Do you include that on your resume, DR vixmom?

my rezoom is peppered with my many skills, for instance
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical;
I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical,
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical,
About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news,
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse.
I'm very good at integral and differential calculus;
I know the scientific names of beings animalculous:
I know our mythic history, King Arthur's and Sir Caradoc's;
I answer hard acrostics, I've a pretty taste for paradox,
I quote in elegiacs all the crimes of Heliogabalus,
In conics I can floor peculiarities parabolous;
I can tell undoubted Raphaels from Gerard Dows and Zoffanies,
I know the croaking chorus from the Frogs of Aristophanes!
 I can hum a fugue of which I've heard the music's din afore,
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore.
 I can write a washing bill in Babylonic cuneiform,
And tell you ev'ry detail of Caractacus's uniform:
 I know what is meant by "mamelon" and "ravelin",
 I can tell at sight a Mauser rifle from a javelin,
 such affairs as sorties and surprises I'm more wary at,
 I know precisely what is meant by "commissariat",
 I have learnt what progress has been made in modern gunnery,
I know more of tactics than a novice in a nunnery--

Interestingly, just a couple of nights ago our lighting director was telling me about a performance in which the Major-General suffered a complete brain freeze upon starting his song, and sang the entire thing on nonsense syllables, while the rest of the cast and crew died a thousand deaths.

Rehearsal is done - a bit rough for my taste, but the songs are all good and so is the cast.  Thursday should be the kind of rehearsal I like!

In other news:  boy, am I beat.  It's early to bed for me tonight.  My first of four "days off" was wonderful, but I'm already ready to turn in.  I successfully avoided coming down with a cold last week, and I don't even feel that kind of tiredness now, but continued rest is definitely called for.

Long day.   Decided that I'm done applying for any other job or position.   I'm happy to be where I am and don't need the stress.

 How about this one?

http://www.amazon.com/Long-Nose-Paper-Cutting-Scissors/dp/B000YPK4FW/ref=pd_sim_op_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1WWTQ2EHWEXKPDCQB19G#productDetails

Yes these are the ones.

I think sending things to Canada is not that difficult. Especially if you write the value is $10 and that it is a gift.  I can't figure out why amazon.com wants to charge $20 for shipping since I don't think it could cost more than $5.

Not long enough. The blade has to be 14 inches long to cut a 12X12 scrapbook page.  These scissors really are the best thing even for cutting pictures (school pictures or even to trim regular sized ones).

It is pretty surprising that I haven't found them since they are huge.  Nobody took them. :(

The phone rang at the office, right on the dot of 9 and I answered with our usual greeting

"Good morning, Law Office (my name) speaking , how may I help you?"

"Oh wow, what a sexy voice, I think I have the wrong number ,which is too bad because I could talk to you all day.  Have a great day."

Oh, the only thing I was considering at this point would have let me keep my practice, she actually couldn't understand why I wouldn't apply for it

Works for me.  I'll be bringing a couple of friends for the Sherman Bros. show, and 7 pm is probably best for them.
