The first movie I ever saw about a teenager was a film from 1939.

I believe the main character was a sociopath.
There was a woman in her home town that she didn't like and she threatened to bite her.
When due to a storm she gets blown off course from her town and she ends up killing two people just to get back home.
But she is a likable character. An anti-hero of sorts

I woke up today a little congested. it's probably because the temperatures have been so wonky. Last night it was cold. Then on Tuesday it is supposed to be 80s. Very confusing!

My son called me first thing this morning.

His mother passed away last night.

Despite our differences, I still cared about her and I owe her much.

The rehearsal was nice....the rehearsal dinner was good....especially the bourbon soaked roast beef, which I had never had before.....

I have to change a bit of the wedding talk because of how the wedding planner is doing the ceremony.....it is taking place on the landing rather than at the bottom of the stairs....and there is not a lot of room for the Unity Candle....we shall see what they do.....or how it goes. We will be in Lilly Hall which is I think a different photo than I posted yesterday....

The configuration will be like this:

So I will walk down the first flight of stairs with the men and then down the other flight of stairs after the ceremony for the photos.....

Something was a little off with THE NANCE for me.....the writing didn't really support the weight of the story....

I liked it....and most of the performances...but you can write second-rate burlesque stuff that is still funny....most of the songs and sketches were not well-performed....and I know the point is that it's NOT good stuff....but I don't think that was the reason they were as bad as they were.

And Douglas Carter Beane looked very different than I thought he would.

Good morning, all!

Another morning of no internet. I had a loverly conversation with a Time Warner technician about the situation and my frustration. Clarly, Time warner doesn't think that four days of on and off outages is a concern. If Iwere a business suffering from this, they might feel differently.

On top of that, I am coming dowm with a cold, which irritates me, and I must go out in the damp to the pharmacy and market.

DR JRand64, when I worked with Douglas in 1985 at the Drama Book Shop, he was a funny conversationalist and a mediocre employee. It was a place to schmooze. He was better than some of the employees who thought the job was to cozy up to, and date, celebrities to get ahead in show biz. He's gained weight with success, spouse, and family, but I think much of his writing is funny but a bit shallow. His book for Cinderella could be a lot better.
