Seventy-nine years ago today the Cole Porter-Moss Hart musical Jubilee opened on Broadway.

I think the fatty bits in the steak are the best part.

I didn't fall down OR catch on fire.....or stumble over my words.....so it was a success!

I doubt that I could say that.

The end of the ceremony.....

I think most impressive is that the bride didn't trip on all those stairs.

I am going to be afraid to answer any calls from LA.  I just got off with the second call in the last several days regarding a cancer diagnosis.

It is a mighty fine autumnal day here in the midwest.

Cool, with clear blue skies and sunlight spotlighting the golden leaves.

Lucky you. I'd really enjoy a few autumnal days. It's hot again here.

I see like 10 visiting cars outside. Would it be rude to try to follow where they are. I'll bet they are having a yummy turkey dinner!

I'm confused.  I thought officially your holiday is tomorrow yet all over FB people are saying Happy Thanksgiving and now you think neighbors are celebrating.

Even though tomorrow is the official Thanksgiving basically most people celebrate it today (on the Sunday).  Pretty much everybody I know has their turkey meal today, including I guess all my neighbors. :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian DRs.

I know at least one Canadian celebrating it today.

I work from home tomorrow with time off for a funeral in the morning. It's for an old friend from church. He had dementia and recently suffered a bad fall in which he broke his neck, which he somehow lived with for several weeks.

Condolences on his passing.

I just read that Skip E. Lowe died a couple of weeks ago. I only know the name because of Martin Short's spoof of him.

I believe BK was on his show.

Anyone in the LA ever see his show?

No I didn't do anything.  I guess it's different from the US where you have the Thursday that is when everybody eats.  Here it's sort of considered Thanksgiving weekend with most people having turkey on the Sunday.

It is nice.  You also don't have Thanksgiving followed by the biggest shopping day of the year.  It has to be easier celebrating when you don't have to do all the work on the same day & you can relax on the day off.

I'm not surprised a second person in Dallas has been diagnosed with Ebola.  I am surprised it is someone from the 2nd team of staff vs the first one that sent the patient home without knowing it was Ebola.

Our biggest shopping day of the year is December 26th - the day after Christmas. Now that makes a lot of sense. :)

I have shopped a couple of times on the 26th for Christmas items that were greatly reduced.  I've never done regular shopping.  And I have only shopped the Friday after our TG once when the boys were young and it was the only day Keith had off.  Mostly I had their gifts purchased before TG.

With everyone celebrating all weekend I suppose they will shop on Monday. ;)
