We had 2 more new flute players at band last night 11 flutes!  Yikes, that's going to be hard to keep in tune

I moved back to my old spot on the end of the second row.  Our first chair flute player is back.  I really like the people in the second row and decided to just play second with them.   I'm more comfortable and now I'll likely have less time to practice so, I don't want to be playing the first part

Our director wrote a flute choir piece. We may try it.  I get to play alto on that.  I'm really happy to hear that.

Just watched a couple of movies -- first time in a while I've been able to enjoy an evening like that.

THE NINTH GATE -- wonderful Polanski.
APOLLO 18 -- hmm, uh, well, it was interesting enough.

And I guess that's why it's after one in the morning here.  Oh well.  I can sleep in a little tomorrow.

I heard there were storms in the Northwest. Is everyone ok?

There isn't a "storm" where I live, it's just raining...and not too badly.

I found out yesterday a good friend of my from my days of being on the board of a national criminal lawyers association committed suicide last week.  I used to be very active in the organization and went to board meetings all over the country.  I haven't been active in about 5-6 years, but Bill was one of my best friends in the organization.  We didn't have a lot of communication outside of the group although we were FB friends.  I'm really shocked.  He was one of the funniest and nicest people I know.  He was a fabulous lawyer, so I'm sure he wasn't always nice to everyone. But he was to me, and I'll miss him

That's so sad.  My condolences, Cillaliz, and to his family.

Tonight's performance of "Complete Works..." had only seven people in the audience. :-\

But they were a good audience and the three actors put on a good show.

Did anyone try to see the eclipse?

I didn't.  I wanted to, but I didn't.
