In about an hour I can go out and see if there's a CD in my mailbox.

There are several puzzles on Lumosity.com that are interesting.

I am not much of a jigsaw puzzle fan, but I like most word puzzles....but not a crossword puzzle.

The more you cough, the more you have to cough.  It's insidious.  My weapon of choice in controlling and eventually getting rid of it is Robitussin-D, or store brand equivalents (CVS's Tussin-D, etc.).

There are different varieties for different kinds of cough needs, but for me, "D" first and foremost gets the constant hacking under control, while making the coughs more productive so you get rid of crap.  I follow dosage instructions, and the important thing is to keep it going until you're truly rid of the cough.

Have you ever tried using a neti pot?  I love mine.

Spent the morning cleaning house and arranging for a cleaning woman to come in and do it right. That happens Monday.

TOD - I started doing crossword puzzles when I retired, but have slacked off a bit.  Every once in a while I'll set up a jigsaw puzzle - that was especially fun when we had our Japanese exchange students and a young Robbie and needed activities that weren't dependent on spoken language.

I play Words with Friends on my iPhone and iPad with Becky, my sister, and 2 nieces.

Having had several bouts with bronchitis, allergy-induced asthma, and pneumonia, I've been prescribed about every cough remedy in the book.  I always fall back on Robitussin-D or its generic for the best results.

My late Uncle Billy created another favorite - dissolve a box or 2 of clear rock candy in a pint of rye whisky and sip slowly.  It's not a quick fix, because the candy takes several days to dissolve.  Mom used to make a batch at the beginning of cold and flu season, just to have on hand.  Best place to find rock candy is Cracker Barrel gift shops.

We will soon be leaving this beautiful place where everone remembers your name and what you like to eat and drink.  I just hope my sore throat is from all the citrus fruit I've been eating and that I am not getting sick.

Wow, DR Ginny.  Is that concoction sipped at room temperature, or perhaps slightly heated?

Hmm...

I just have a minute before I must become productive, so I'll post my favorite cough remedy: drinking lots of water. Seriously. Many years ago, when I was taking allergy drugs, I was about to fly home to visit my parents, but I had a nagging cough. I went to the drug store, looking for some cough medicine. Every bottle I picked up said, "Do not take if you're taking <drug A>" or "Do not take if you're taking <drug B>." I was taking both drug A and drug B. I explained the problem to the pharmacist. He told me that the best thing for a cough was drinking lots of water. I was taken aback, but since I couldn't use any of the conventional cough syrups, I thought I'd try it. It worked! No coughing when I visited my elderly parents. It didn't help the family squabbles, but it took care of the cough.

I have never heard of drinking water for chronic pain or for coughs  all I know is that if I had to drink a half ounce of water for every pound I weigh there would soon be a Vixmom induced drought on the Island of Long

My preferred cough remedy is to make a nice hot pot of tea, (take care to first warm the tea pot before brewing the tea)   take a tea mug and warm it, then add a generous amount of honey, place on top 1 thick  slice of lemon (remove the pips!)
pout the brewed tea on top of the honey and lemon then cover the mug with a saucer for about 2 minutes to let it all steep,  give it a good stir to be sure the honey is all dissolved and sip it slowly  while it is still warm

If you're enjoying the Sandy CD it would be very helpful if you'd do an Amazon review.

Just off the phone with Richard Sherman - he played the Sandy CD as soon as he got back in LA ("on the good speakers - loud") and I'm happy to say he absolutely loved the entire album.  He was thrilled with Two Roads and how it came out, and was impressed by all the songs, the arrangements and orchestrations, and Sandy's vocals.  His favorite song on the CD?  Three Acts.
