I shall now be on my way to the theater.  Today's baffling bit: One of our authors, for the second time in a row, makes a post about our show, crediting just about every single person from cast to creative team without mentioning the gentleman who actually directed the show and who has worked his ASS off on it for no pay.  So I finally responded and said, "Gee, ya think the show directed itself."  Followed by a smiley face.  Then on my own wall I made my own post about tonight's preview, called out our wonderful cast, design team, stage manager, MD and added: "I'm sure someone wrote the show but I learned of Facebook today that that's not all that important" or something like that, again followed by a smiley face.  So, what does the author do?  She removes her post from her wall, and shares mine, making it seem like I'm being snarky for no reason.  I immediately responded and explained to everyone who's reading her wall about her removing her post and why I made the one I did.  That one she's left up, but as long as my explanation stays it's fine.  Sometimes it's like dealing with twelve-year-olds.

I think Mercury has no intention of going out without a fight.

Great snow pics.  I wonder how they colored the dog.

Well, I must now be off.  It's time to usher for "The 39 Steps" at Harlequin Productions.  I've heard that it's very good.

Be back later!

Thank you to DRs TCB, George, John G, Jane, and Cillaliz for the nice comments about Mom.  I'm sorry if I sounded whiny about my plans being interrupted.

This evening was much better than last.  We took Rob and Mary Linda to her place of choice for a belated birthday celebration.  We had good beer, good food, and a good time at Hofbrauhaus in Newport, KY, just across the river from downtown Cincinnati.

could be tempra paint in powder form, or other paint. That's what we used to do when we did snow sculptures

Not at all.  It is natural for you to be disappointed.  If something bad is going to happen it is preferable for the timing to be more convenient.  Of course it is best for a happy outcome so we can joke about it. :)

Some people use stuff like chocolate or coffee or things like that, but paint is the most common

I saw a stage production of The 39 Steps a few years ago. It was really well done and a lot of fun.

When I was growing up we had the Estherville Winter Sports Festival and people all over town would build snow sculptures.   Our neighborhood did Puff the Magic Dragon one year. It was huge!  Another year we did the three little pigs with the buildings and the wolf and everything
