Singdaw after reading your posts I am always tempted to relocate to Minnesota ...then I remember the snow...

The Twin Cities are great places to live.

We are watching it now

It is very reminiscent of the BBC series Broadchurch

We have a closing date on our home, April 20th.  That means we need to move by May 20th.

We could use some major vibes things fall in place this weekend and we have a new place to move to.

I'm at the theater and the house just opened.  My parents are supposed to be here tonight.  They'd better be...they're using my comp tickets. :)

I didn't know you were a lawyer.

I'm not  but I am a real estate paralegal and I work for a lawyer

All these years and I don't think I realized you were a paralegal.

I didn't either.  You learn something new everyday. ;D

Yeow!  How did you do that in the first place?

Oh no.  Wait a minute.  Did this happen while you were doing our favorite thing? --- EATING??

Yes and it was just a piece of bacon and not all that terribly well done either. But ever since the radiation treatment my teeth have been bad.  It's a trade off. ..great teeth in a corpse or lousy teeth in a live person; I opted for the latter

My friend Margo had a couple of teeth Crack after she had her teeth bleached.  Ander dentist did the bleaching, so it was supposed to have been done the way it's supposed to be done.  :-\

And I just heard that (former) DR Jed is here!  I don't know if Ann is here, too.  I'll see if I can find that out.

No bank as the buyers are paying with cash :)

ah well that explains why it went so quickly-  I fully expect bank underwriters to start asking for DNA samples soon

We got lucky on the cash part, plus they didn't have to sell their current home.

Nice to have money.  are these the same ones who flew in to see the house?

No.  These people are local.

My flight was right on time. I guess it's best to fly early in the morning.

On the whole I agree though problems can happen anytime.  It is sooo hard to get up for early flights.

I love the original Danish version of The Killing, of which the American version is a pale copy, in my opinion.

House-finding vibes to Jane and Keith. This is temporary housing or did you see someplace you think you'd like to stay?

Someplace we might like to stay.  Thank you for the vibes.

I saw the American version. I found it interesting. Not a absolute favorite, but better than many. I liked the ending, too--a surprise and a pleasing one.

Congrats to Cilla on joining the 1%, even that it isn't the monetary kind. Perhaps that'll be next year.

Several years ago, my three cousins and I sold a California property that we owned jointly. I was living in Virginia at the time and my three cousins all live in Houston. Getting my three cousins to agree on anything--indeed, to even SPEAK to one another--can be a challenge. But they asked me to take the lead, which I was happy to do. Miraculously, they all agreed and that end of things went smoothly. Closing was the nightmare. The escrow agent arbitrarily divided our proceeds into four equal parts--because they were four of us, I guess--completely disregarding the contract, which clearly stated that ownership was one-half mine and the other half to my three cousins. She even sent out four checks, all incorrect. We got it straightened out, but I don't think that would have happened with an attorney conducting the settlement.

Sometimes you need a lawyer.   Sometimes they are just an extra expense.  In MA the lawyer created a few difficulties when we sold.

Toe vibes to Jane and Ginny.

Vibes for good health all around.

Thanks.  I just finished icing mine.  I'm still walking but can only wear tennis shoes.

So, Vixmom, the dentist fixed your tooth without having to make a crown? That's great. I equate cracked teeth with new crowns and $$.

Ouch.  I hope that doesn't mean you will lose the other tooth.

In my case I think an extra set of eyes might have caught the error.
