And now, back to act two.  When this is done, we have our fairly simple strike, then our last cast party.

I began to think last night it might be a cold, but it's just classic allergy symptoms.  I'm relaxing and resting.  I've finished all the entrance and exit diagrams and we had our rehearsal.

Funny: Lisa Livesay is singing the funny Alan Menken song Pink Fish.  I think she's the only female to ever attempt it because there's a lyric in the second verse that makes no sense for a female, but she just sings it anyway.  Here's the lyric

I went to my first audition
For Fiddler on the Roof
When I saw the other actors there
I though I had made a goof
No beanie, no beard,
Guess I must've looked kind of weird
But when I heard it was a religious show
I was mighty cheered

I told her it sounded odd to me and took me out of the song.  She said, "Well, what can we do?"  I wrote her a replacement lyric on the spot.  Same first four lines through "goof" and then:

No shmata, no shawl
I guess I didn't "get" it at all
But when I heard it was a religious show
I knew I'd have a ball

Problem solved :)

That's great!

And then I picked up mt folks and took them to see The Wedding Singer at the local theatre collge

Did you like it? I've always wanted to see the show. I really love the opening number. The rest of the score is less good, but I don't how effective it is except on the CD.

Yes it was fun.  The Vixter was in her high school production of it back in the day and one of her friends was this production as Linda the fiancée of the wedding singer

The Vixter and I actually went to see it together last night.  The trip today was arranged courtesy of the over 50 group at church

I enjoyed it both times but a number of the over 50 ( well, over 70's to over80's) were rather less than amused by the language

The final count: 1197. I think it's OK. I can send it off and collect a pittance. When they decide to pay me.

And now a short break before resume work.

I hate writing my resume to the depth of my being. It's almost pathological.

But I like work that pays more.

Taking a break to watch Liza in "The Dangerous Christmas of Red Riding Hood." The video is not of great quality, but the Bob Merrill-Jule Styne score has some weird fun to it. Plus, Cyril Ritchard and the Animals playing the Wolf Pack.

It may be the wrong time of year, but I need a little Christmas.

The nice thing about Mickey Dolenz is how down to earth he is and what a team player he is.
