There is a postcard with a photo of Peter Brown (not the best one IMHO).  On the back it says
"Thanks a lot for your letter, and for watching 'Lawman".
You're the Greatest
Peter Brown"

Most of all I was thrilled to find my lost Fess Parker card.  I remember my parent's asked him to write it when they met him while on vacation.

Then I found a treasure.  Post cards addressed to Janie from my mother dated Dec 1960.  They are very sweet and filled with love.

My mother used to return to England to spend time with her family.  This trip was one of her longer ones and so there are a number of cards from her.  Because I collected post cards I also have a couple she wrote my brother.  I will have to send them to him.

I did laugh at one card.  She said if I was going to write so little a letter I should give it to Daddy to mail with his and not waste the 15 cents for a stamp.

That's pretty cool!  When my dad was in Viet Nam (during the war), he was able to get a picture with Fess Parker!

Back from a nice lunch with Kay Cole - I had a taco salad with no sugar.  Then I went to see my editor, Marshall Harvey and we shot our little video thing and he's now preparing it.  You'll know what all this is about come Friday morning.

BK, does it have anything to do with a season 3 of "Outside the Box"?  I hope you're going to continue with that series.

Wow, she was just two years older than me and was a grandma! Married nearly 30 years. Can only imagine her as a little girl.

Back from my quick trip to NYC.  On Sunday I saw The Visit.  I enjoyed it very much, if only to see Chita Rivera in what may be her Broadway swan song.  I was familiar with two of the songs so that always helps.

On Sunday night I saw Something Rotten.  I agree with DR Ben on this one.  It was a lot of fun.  So many theatre references. I think I got most of them, but they come so fast it's easy to miss them.

Last night I attended the Chaplin Awards.  Barbra S presented the award to Robert R.  Jane Fonda, John Turturro and Elisabeth Moss all gave nice speeches about the honoree.  Barbra was the highlight, of course.  The rest of the show was mostly filled with film clips.... many, many film clips.

I was surprised that Nathan Lane and Hugh Jackman didn't get Tony nominations, not that I thought either of their shows were great.

Page Two Rosalind Russell Dance.

They re-shot some of "Everything's Coming Up Roses" and instead of calling Wood and Malden back.....they used a photo of them pasted on a piece of plywood.....very noticeable if you watch the movie.

I'll have to watch this, JRand64. Thanks!

Wait...this is for real?  I thought that this was a joke!  I have the Blu-ray.  I'll definitely watch this tonight when I get home.

And on that note (G-natural), I'm leaving work and going to my parents' for dinner.  My mom said that something's wrong with their front door knob, so I'll take a look at that.  I'm wondering if some screws just needs to be tightened, or if something else is going on.

Be back later!

Good morning, all!  I dreamed i was back at Goodspeed with my friend Meggie Cansler. The Big Dream before that is too fragmented now for me to remember.

Today is  City Center with Joshie day. It should be fun.  I have to work on "Happy Birthday," which is being being transposed for Zoe Wannamaker.

BK's day was a party I wish my days were.  He gets a couple of fun rehearsals, although Sami's was more a tryout performance, and I get a long laundry day: clothes and bedding and a royal workout assembling the bed with new mattress cover, sheets and blankets.  Why don't the manufacturers of contour sheets and mattress pads tell the buyer which side of these items is the long side and the short side? By the time I've figured it out, I'm exhausted.

That is why all of my sheets have stripes.  not big bold stripes, but stripes nonetheless.

It is hard to believe that Chita made her Broadway debut in 1957, and she is still performing onstage.  Amazing!

I have a hunch that DR John G's next interview will result in an offer.

(Where do hunches come from? I have no idea why this comes to me, but it did. FWIW.)

I like your hunches, DR Jeanne.

Chita made her debut in Can-Can, which was 1953.

I think that is cool.

Friends of mine went to visit his winery in California (it was the one filmed in Sideways), and he was there that day. He talked a lot to their son, who had no idea about the TV show Davy Crockett, but Patrick was gracious about it all, and Parker was nice to all three. Memorable day for all of them. And Pat knows all about Fess Parker now.
