However, I am feeling a lot better tonight.

Glad to read that, DR TCB.

BK, had you been in touch with Suzanne Crough at all over the years?

Good morning, all!  I dreamed i was back at Goodspeed with my friend Meggie Cansler. The Big Dream before that is too fragmented now for me to remember.

Today is  City Center with Joshie day. It should be fun.  I have to work on "Happy Birthday," which is being being transposed for Zoe Wannamaker.

BK's day was a party I wish my days were.  He gets a couple of fun rehearsals, although Sami's was more a tryout performance, and I get a long laundry day: clothes and bedding and a royal workout assembling the bed with new mattress cover, sheets and blankets.  Why don't the manufacturers of contour sheets and mattress pads tell the buyer which side of these items is the long side and the short side? By the time I've figured it out, I'm exhausted.

That is why all of my sheets have stripes.  not big bold stripes, but stripes nonetheless.

LOL. I never thought of that. and I love stripes, too.

So sorry to hear about Suzanne Crough.  I didn't know the two younger kids on the show much, but the couple of times they were around, they were very sweet and down to earth.  I did meet Suzanne many years later at one of the Ray Courts shows and she was really a doll.

So to change your bed linens you strip the stripes, right?

I wonder if the chat people have to take a test to work for the companies they are supposed to trouble to shoot. I had been having problems signing on the internet service of SIRIUSXM. It just loading and loading. They told me to download another web browser and recommended Google Chrome. I really didn't want to do that.

So I thought what if I cleared my browsing history.

Well it worked and I didn't have to download a new browser.

Fred, thanks for the follow-up post on napping.

I found this:
How do you combat stress?
Studies show people who nap five times a week have less heart disease. For me to take a nap is next to impossible, but finding ways to get rid of every day anxiety can be as simple as a meditation, a walk, or a prayer. Healthy behaviors are as infectious as the flu, and loneliness can be as bad for you as a smoking habit. So surround yourself with good people and try to get six hours of face-to-face interaction everyday. As a whole, we are not as communal as we use to be. Fifteen years ago, on average, we had three good friends each and today we only have 1.5.

Interesting about exercise vs napping. I certainly think it's beneficial to take a stress break (or three) during the day, whether that's exercise or a nap. Exercise has so much more credibility, though! Napping does seem like laziness.

In the collection is my postcard signed
"To Jane
Best Wishes from Davy
Fess Parker"

That's pretty cool!  When my dad was in Viet Nam (during the war), he was able to get a picture with Fess Parker!

I think that is cool.

Friends of mine went to visit his winery in California (it was the one filmed in Sideways), and he was there that day. He talked a lot to their son, who had no idea about the TV show Davy Crockett, but Patrick was gracious about it all, and Parker was nice to all three. Memorable day for all of them. And Pat knows all about Fess Parker now.

I would like to stay at his hotel, wish I had done so years ago.

Had Dinner at Eight on while I worked. Hadn't seen in years. It isn't the greatest movie ever made, but parts of it remain powerful. And Harlow is better than the script.

Good evening.  Not much news. Bought a new lawn mower today.  It's self propelled.  I had no idea that it would make as much difference as it does.  When the guy from the hardware store delivered it, he looked at my old mower and said "Oh my, that would make mowing REALLY hard work"  well duh, I should have done this years ago
