Well, folks, I got me a fine Monday morning welcome home howdy-do a little while ago.

Turned my computer on (I generally leave it on but had turned it off before leaving town), everything was fine, and then I went to look up something on IMDb... and picked up a nice case of Adware/Malware.  Of course I really don't know what to blame, but crap started happening as soon as I clicked on my search results there.

It had been quite a long time since that happened.  Control Panel Uninstall saw some new stuff and supposedly removed it, Revo Uninstaller saw a couple more things and supposed removed those, but the crap was still happening when I opened a browser.  Had to download Malwarebytes (which I thought I had, but it must have been on a former laptop), ran their scan, and it quarantined some 130 threats.  Incredible.  But I'm back in business.

This was, like, every type of adware there is.  Popup windows with things to click on, text that would become links, the whole works.

So all I can say is:  thanks, MS Security Essentials; thanks, AdBlocker; thanks, Flashblocker; and all the rest of yez who manage to let this shit through.

Monday morning greetings!  Watched the finales last night of both CALL THE MIDWIFE (season) and MAD MEN (series).  Both well done with a lot to think about.

We are waiting for season 4 to be available on Netflix.  How was it with the cast changes?

There is a Peet's Coffe, Keith's favorite, across the stree in Fred Meyer's.  It is rather convenient to get coffee and shop at the same time.  I ordered my hot chocolate as usual, double chocolate and no whipped cream.  For the first timeit had too much chocolate.  As the barista showed me, double there is a lot of chocolate-lol

If you mean CALL THE MIDWIFE, I miss Jenny and Chummy, but the others are holding their own.  Chummy isn't totally gone - she's quite prominent in the season finale.

Good luck!  Can you make changes or are you committed to those online choices?

I had a good turnout yesterday for BAD SEED auditions, and I am hoping for a few more choices tonight.  I could really possible conceivably use everyone from yesterday....if I had to.

DR JRand, did you find your Monica Breedlove last night?  I played that role my senior year in high school...

I am home.  The work will begin at Tams-Witmark on Wednesday.  I had a lovely visit with friends, explained the work to be done, and all is good.  Today, I go t go back into the inner sanctum and see where all the goodies are kept.

I understand the new Golden Apple  recrding has begun shipping.  The timing for my trip was good.

My niece Emily graduated from college Saturday with her English degree.  My sister Paula (her mom) and Emily's husband Ryan were there.....along with her sister niece Amanda.  :D

They also had a great party on Sunday afternoon that I was able to attend for awhile.  8)

I'm up - got exactly eight hours of sleep.  My iPad hasn't been connecting to my wireless network for a week, and therefore has used up an entire month of data plan, which I will not pay more for.  I shut it off and restarted and it found the network - for thirty seconds, then it was gone.  Then it found it again.  Did the latest update and hoping that will fix it, otherwise I have to call Apple.

DR Jrand64, maybe it's just me, but I can see a family resemblance carried down to your niece Emily. They are a happy group!

Here's a very young Paul Williams from the movie THE LOVED ONE. He plays a child prodigy (what else?):

A mini-documentary (7 min. 47 sec.) of Paul Williams in which he tells of his life, part of a series with the group Daft Punk:

I've been pretty fortunate to not have had very much trouble with viruses (viri?).  Since my home computer still has Windows XP, I REALLY need to look at getting a new computer.  It's too old to upgrade....I'll have to start from scratch. :P
