Reading everyone's posts and their comments are not surprising. Most if not all awards shows are not produced properly, seemingly by people who don't have any feelings about what the show represents. And, because of that, the wrong hosts and write-by-the-numbers writers are attached. Instead of focusing on the meat and potatoes, such producers are more concerned with adding mind-numbing musical numbers, almost as time stretchers and time fillers. Producing by following a pattern and selling said pattern with canned laughter and canned applause. I'd bet a good percentage of those in the audience won their tickets on a radio station and haven't a clue what the Tonys are.
