THE SIMPSONS have parodied the Jack Lemmon schlemiel character so memorably as Good Ol' Gil, sometimes can't watch any Lemmon pictures. Some haven't dated well either.

I don't remember the film of Good Neighbor Sam at all - I did see it a few times, but it's really a blank - I did enjoy the Jack Finney novel on which it's based, which I read prior to seeing the film back in the day.

I can see where it would be a blank. It's OK, and a nice relic of its time and the mores of the era, but it gets by on a lot of charm and little else.

Tod. I cannot remember a time when I did not know the entire score to west side story and forum. My dad had the albums and played them all the time... I don't know that I knew the name Sondheim. I saw a production of company in college and fell in love played The album over and over (borrowed from the library. Who had money to spend $3 for the obc?

Tomorrow I am playing hooky from work a fed the vixter and I are joining he 50+ group on their annual trip to the sights and sounds theatre in Pennsylvania. We will go down in a chartered coach bus have lunch at a Cracker Barrel watch a musical version of the story of Joseph ( no not that version) and then tootle on home.

Well, the WCPA 2015-2016 season was announced to the people who attended the volunteer appreciation dinner. The mashed potato bar was very good. They also had a salad bar with lots of toppings for either the salad or the mashed potatoes. I really hope that they consider doing that again next year...but that's just me.

Although, it's not been officially advertised yet, a few of the highlights include: Momix Dance, Seattle Rock Orchestra Tribute to Pink Floyd, a return to the WCPA of Hal Holbrook's Mark Twain Tonight!, David Sedaris, Celtic Nights, Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra, Travis Tritt, Portland Cello Project's "Bach, Brubeck and Beck," The Producers (national tour),"Post Secret" public arts project, Saturday Night Fever (national tour), Arlo Guthrie, The Kingston Trio, and a newly discovered silent Sherlock Holmes movie that was just discovered last year.

I remember reading about Lacey Chabert when she got older, that she started playing more sex-pot roles after playing young and innocent roles when she was young and innocent. I don't remember ever reading about Elizabeth Moss playing Baby Louise. I think I would've remembered that. I first heard of Elizabeth Moss from the TV show, "Invasion." I remember her because at that same time, she was in some Excedrin commercials and I kept saying, that's the girl from "Invasion."
