So, there's this neat little website about LA restaurants - not very complete and kind of half-assed, but with some nice photos here and there. They have Kelbo's and there are nice comments and a photo of a matchbook inside with locations. Now, as far as I and just about everyone who went to Kelbo's knew, there were two locations - TWO - the real one on Pico in West LA and the other one on Fairfax south of Beverly across from CBS. Well, batten down the hatches, me hearties, because there were other locations - I really can't believe it, actually, but they're listed so they had to be real - the THREE other locations were Brentwood on San Vicente and 26th, Manchester and - wait for it - a mile from my home on Ventura one block east of Woodman on the south side of the street. It's a kindergarten now and who knows if that was the original building or not. The question is WHEN was it there, because the menu I have and all the other stuff I've found online only list Pico and Fairfax. I love these little mysteries, don't you?
