Since it was a result of treatment for a medical condition, would insurance cover any of it?

That is the after insurance price

No wonder I thought the price was decent.

Good family news from DR George.

Bad medical news from DR vixmom.  Sheesh!  Would it cost any less if they just pulled everything and gave you dentures?

DR Michael, I'm sorry to hear about your new diagnosis. I went wheat-free many years ago, only to learn that ALL gluten bothers me. I now keep gluten to a minimum. It's inconvenient, but doable. There are now many, many gluten-free options, and most are quite good, IMO.

Vibes that you find foods you enjoy that you tolerate well!

Congrats to Larry on the speaking offer. As Sing (?) said, it's always nice to be asked. And it may open some doors.

Maybe we could have an Indiegogo campaign for ALL our needs:

DR Elmore's travel expenses and new suit.
DR Vixmom's teeth.
DR Michael's pantry replenishment.
And so on.

I had no idea that anyone other than family helped these days with Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah expenses.

I have been looking for cleaning help. No luck so far. The first person spoke so little English that I couldn't make heads or tails of what she was saying. The second person knew of no one who does this sort of work. I asked a facialist I know if she knew of anyone. She asked three people about a week ago, but no one has gotten back to her. The cleaning service I heard of on Amazon Local Deals that sounded so good is now out of business.

I was telling Richard, my hairdresser, all this the other day. He's looking for someone to help clean his salon. I've started doing some of the nonstandard cleaning that most services won't do. I'll keep trying to find someone, but I'm not very optimistic. I have trouble understanding the poor work ethic and had have trouble over the years finding anyone I'm happy with.

And DR Dan M, too, with his medical expenses.

Maybe the Sally Struthers fitness walking video

will knock memories of Barry Bostwick out of your head.

Thanks, Jeanne and Jrand and Singdaw!  I just had a visit with her at my sister's house.  She's tired, but feeling much better.

The rose' panel went well. But the day was HOT. The hill country may have been five or six degrees hotter than San Antonio.

On the way home, I stopped at the local supermarket chain and discovered that they were selling copies of my barbecue book.

Watching an ancient version of "The Good Companions," based on one of my favorite novels. The cast includes a really young John Gielgud, Edmund Gwenn and Jessie Matthews. Not as good as the book, but still charming.
