I ordered 8 jars of sauce from an Italian restaurant and they accidentally sent 8 cases.  Returning them became very complicated so they said to keep them.

Woo-hoo, spaghetti party at Jane & Keith's!

A week-long spaghetti party, I daresay.

Wow, DR Jane!  You're all set for at least the next few days.

 ;D

First they said to take our order out and shut it back up.  We had to open 3 of the 4 big boxes delivered to find the combination of sauces to find the correct mix.  Each big box, filled with those popcorn type thing that make a huge mess, and another box inside with the bubble wrapped jars and more popcorn.

Then he called back and said I needed to call UPS to collect the boxes as if I refused them.  He really should have found out what to do this morning because you can't refuse something that has been opened, messed with, and re-closed.

He then just said to keep them.

For the last hour and a half we have been unwrapping the jars and dealing with the mess from those popcorn things.  We opened the boxes up outside but a ton of it still came in to, and onto, the just cleaned floors and kitchen counter.

I'm glad you don't have to pay the shipping to return all of that sauce.

No way, and I was surprised the guy didn't just say right off to keep them.

I think the whoopie-pie cake looks better than whoopie-pies, still I wouldn't rush for a piece.

My father was taken to the emergency room last night and then to a different hospital so we are dealing with some things today.

Not sure what we will find out....but I may not be around much today.

Today was the 40th anniversary for one of my staff here in the Acquisitions Department.  We had a little get-together and it was delightfully delightful.  A nice time was had by all.

Perhaps that is the title of one of the missing Sherlock Holmes stories...

The Case of the Cases of Sauce...

Or a Perry Mason story:

"Erle Stanley Gardner's Perry Mason in THE CASE OF THE SAUCY DELIVERY" with guest star, Anne Francis.

DR Jane, I hope that the pasta sauce is good. Would you recommend ordering from the restaurant? Maybe they'll make the same mistake. ;)

The restaurant is in Michigan so I only orders jars of their sauce.  I haven't ordered from them in years.  I hope it is at least as good as it used to be.
