Last night I watched HUD tonight I am watching. African Queen

A few weeks ago, I bought the 2-fer Blu-ray set from Costco of "The African Queen" and "Casablanca."  I haven't been able to watch them, yet.

Back from a mostly fun rehearsal and then a jog.

Of course it takes all day to make it.

Which is why I purchased a few jars of sauce to simplify my rolled eggplant recipe.

By the time the sauce is done, you are out of the mood.

I don't want to give up my sobriety for a bowl of ice cream.

I would also prefer it plain.

The Homesman was an enjoyable surprise with a shocking plot twist and some really good performances.

I've now started watching Paul Taylor Dancemaker, which was nominated for best documentary. Interesting watching Taylor perform one of his signature pieces in 1962 and then much later in his career dance. Intercut were images of the same piece danced by the current lead male dancer with his company. The movie isn't about age and the body, but it is definitely a theme of the images.

About to eat two low-cal no-fat hot dogs on low-cal buns - I had a cheese omelet and a bagel earlier for lunch.

[I know a woman who doesn't use pasta sauce or anything resembling it. Instead she concocts her own using ketchup as the main ingredient.]

:o That is just plain wrong!

Well, the first two batches (four dozen) of cookies for tomorrow's summer barbecue at work are done and are cooling.  I think I have enough for at least one more dozen, if not a dozen and a half.

I bought three packages of oatmeal chocolate chip cookie mix from Greater Good.  Each mix come with three bags:  one for the sugars, one for the flour and oatmeal, and one for the chocolate chips.

Shortly after I got them in the mail, I made the mistake of leaving them too long in my fairly warm car and the chocolate chips all melted together.  I went to Fred Meyer tonight and got some mini chocolate chips and some mini M&M's.  They were perfect replacements for the regular chocolate chips.

I didn't realize how many cookies each mix made (about 32 cookies each), so I only made two of the mixes.  That will be plenty for tomorrow.

And they're done.  I just need to let them cool and then wrap them up.

I have never heard of Greater Good.

Everything that they sell helps a cause.  I have this link bookmarked:

http://therainforestsite.greatergood.com/clickToGive/trs/home

and I go on everyday and click the "Click here - it's FREE!" link, then click on the next "cause," and click that cause's "Click here - it's FREE!" link, and just go across the top until they've all been clicked each day.  I also do this at work. :)

What's also cool is that they're based in Seattle!
