DR George - I am glad that you had fun and that getting a little wet wasn't bothersome.

Thanks, Sing!  It actually was a LOTTA wet! :D

Have we done "But Alive" parodies here before?  This was among my parody documents:

I feel foreign, yet totally fluent
Totally present, yet errant and truant
But alive, but alive, but alive

I feel partly Guy Haines, part Guy Stroman
Half Willy Wonka and half Willy Loman
But alive, that’s the thing, but alive

I’ve got several different screen names, every single post is mine
I loved Ethel’s turn in Gypsy, but I’m also mad for Tyne

And I’ve got one foot in hell, one in himmel
Partly Bruce Willis and partly Bruce Kimmel
Sturdy as a fish
Flaky as a knish
Always here to dish
Alive

I feel Christian, but also feel Jewish
Fit as a fiddle yet sneezy and flu-ish
But alive, but alive, but alive

And I’m spontaneous yet lousy with planning
Half Channing Tatum and half Carol Channing
But alive, but alive, but alive!

Very funny, Fred!

I am kind of dragging right now.

I was actually thinking something like this:

Watching a movie called Chappie about a robot that can think and act like a human. Sigourney Weaver and Hugh Jackman are in the supporting cast. It's interesting, but a little too long.

We played at Sharon's funeral earlier this afternoon. We did a good job, and her family was grateful. But it was sad.

I finished my task and listened to Valmouth, Two Gentlemen of Verona, and Virtue in Danger, which has become one of my favorite London cast recordings, if only for Patricia Routledge's "I'm In Love with Her Husband" and "Wait A Little Longer, Lover."

I am still amazed at all the selections available on the East Bay (Long Island) Diner's menu.

And they're open 24 hours a day and all those selections are available 24 hours a day as is standard.  There is nothing in the world like a Long Island diner

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were twitchy and bitchy and manic, and now it is time for you to post until the twitchy and bitchy and manic cows come home.

But you're Alive

Bruce feels groggy and weary and tragic
Punchy and bleary and fresh out of magic
But alive, but alive, but alive!
Bruce feels twitchy and bitchy and manic
Calm and collected and choking with panic
But alive, but alive, but alive!

Bruce's a thousand different people, every single one is real
Bruce has a million different feelings, OK but at least he feels!

And Bruce feels rotten, yet covered with roses
Younger than springtime and older than Moses
*But alive, but alive, but alive!

Love it!!

I was expecting the company at 1:00, however, in reality the time was between one and two.  A good thing as I was not ready until a bit after one. Now I'm sitting at the computer and waiting.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I've been experimenting with gluten-free pasta. I used to LOVE pasta, but had to minimize it when I found that gluten was causing some problems. I recently tried a gluten-free fettuccine. Ugh. Really heavy. Then the gluten-free spaghetti. Not as heavy, but definitely chewy. I bought something online that I'd never even heard of, but it looks rather slimy in the package. Trader Joe's has one with BK's beloved quinoa in it. Haven't tried that one yet.

If those DRs who avoid gluten--Singdaw, Druxy, Dan M--or our resident foodie, John G, have any experiences with gluten-free pasta or suggestions, then I'm all ears.
