Today would also have been Keith's parent's 75 anniversary.  I'm sorry they didn't have more years together.

Good morning from Costco. Just had my eyes dilated.

At Costco?

I know a couple of people who get their glasses at Costco.

I hate when smoke alarms go off when I cook. When I cook at my sister's house often it will go off just taking something out of the oven. And it usually goes off when i cook something on the stove. :(

Before I permanently took out the battery of the smoke alarm on my first floor (which was just outside my kitchen), I would have to take it off the ceiling and open the battery compartment any time I cooked anything.  No matter what it was, the smoke alarm would go off, so I just took it down.  I figure if anything happens, the smoke alarms on my upper floors will detect the smoke and wake me.

But a lotta good it would actually do.  I sleep at the top of my three-story townhouse, so if there's any kind of fire, I really won't be able to get out, at all. :-\

Does anyone know what to do for a sore thumb (like "texting thumb"). My right thumb has been hurting. I can't believe how much you need your right thumb (cutting, opening water bottles...).

I have it wrapped. I have iced it.

Stop texting and let it rest for a few days.

Marion Cotillard as Lady MacBeth with Muchael Fassbender as her husband. Now that's a movie I want to see.

Got eight-and-a-half hours of sleep, then had to write answers to a Q&A for Welcome to My World, then had to go eat (turkey sandwich) and am now back.  I'm going to the theater at three.

A good reason to have a smoke alarm downstairs to wake you faster than waiting for the smoke to reach you in your bedroom.

I don't even text which is the funny part.  I am trying to rest it. But i use my right thumb for so much. It is so hard not to use it at all.

Try doing things left handed, including typing.

I almost forgot...here are the pictures that I took of Randy Newman:

This was my view.  The empty chairs in front of the two guys in front of me were never filled.  I could see perfectly!

You can see how much room they have to hold more people, if necessary, which it wasn't this time.

Our kitchen was almost completed this afternoon.  The contractor has to tweak the last part again.

But I've seen concerts from up in the field and that's fun, too.
