Susanna Moross Tarjan just called me that "Fresh Air," the NPR program, will review THE GOLDEN APPLE recording today. It's on a 2:00 here, so I will listen to that.

Larry, how was it?

The hour was mostly about Jim Gaffigan. There was probably about a 15 minute review of the recording with some excerpts.

I'll probably catch the nightly repeat of that on my way home tonight.

So, here I go again.  Off to final dress rehearsal.  Without wearing a fez.

Do we need to let you know if we are getting the Sami CD because we donated to the IndieGo campaign for the show?

I'm watching Pope Francis' arrival in Manhattan.  He is so cute.

I watched his address to congress.....while waiting for something else to come on....and I it seems to me that the goofballs there applauded several times just because they thought he was finished.

Back from a bacon cheeseburger and no fries and onion rings - at the booth next to me, director Larry Cohen, he of It's Alive, The Stuff and God Told Me To.

My wifi is slow and my laptop is off to be repaired.  The Geek Squad was able to diagnose the problem in 15 minutes so there wasn't a $99 fee.  The monitor isn't working.

I saw the Pope drive by after his visit at Catholic Charities.  He had his hand out the window as he waved.  It was really quick.

While I was finishing my book, Richard did something we've been threatening to do for some time - cancelled our landline.

Bye-bye, telemarketers, scammers, and robocalls!

Congrats on making the break, Ginny! :D

I'm holding on to my landline for now.  I think the  sound is better and the phone is more comfortable to hold than my cellphone.

Maybe I should try this.  I think I need a new battery but what do I know?

Back from what will be our last pick-up rehearsal.  I finessed a couple of moments, tried out one new line, which I know would get a laugh at the top of the show, but Sami just is not going to be able to be comfortable trying it because she's connected the original lines there and this one breaks up the rhythm of line pre and post the new one.  So, maybe we'll throw it in sometime during the final weekend.

Well, here's one.

Back from a good final dress, and oddly (as is always the case at this place), there is nothing tomorrow night, then we open Saturday night.

Late night snack report:

Utz Multigrain Tortillas [sic] [i.e., not Tortilla CHIPS, even though that's what they are].

DELICIOUS.  If you like tortilla chips in general, and if you like the taste of flax seed which is prominent in these.  I happen to have grown to like it.

Oh my goodness.  They contain QUINOA.

Flax seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, KEEN-WAH, corn (of course), and brown rice.

And they're (get ready for it) gluten free!  :)   Just noticed that.  I didn't buy them for that reason.  But they're very tasty.

Ladies and gentlemen, the fez is out of the closet.

So to speak.

Progress comes in small increments sometimes.  We'll see what happens tomorrow.

I remember seeing It's Alive in a college film class. I managed to get a fun article for a journalism class out of it at the same time. A real classic.

Listening to disc 2 right now. I need to pull out the original cast for a spin or two.

I have to keep it in order to get a deal on the Internet connection. I don't need them for the cellphone since the office supplies it.
