Almost packed. Got my boarding pass. Now all I have to do is get the bird to the Tweet Suite and go to a funeral before I can take off.

Came home to a lovely box of cookies from Mom. Maybe I'll take a few on the trip, though my friend Hillary is diabetic like me.

I'll keep my AT&T (now Frontier, whoever in the HELL they are) landline until they pry it from my cold dead (etc.) even though I have an internet phone line on my Comcast modem/router.

As I said to the nice lady in Arizona yesterday as we were troubleshooting my problems:  "No, nice lady in Arizona, the number you can call me back on if we get disconnected is a traditional AT&T landline, so you needn't worry about disconnecting me when you try jump-starting this modem again.  And might I add, I wouldn't exactly be talking to you and getting help right now if my main line was the internet one, now, would I?  Eh?  Would I now?  Would I?"

(Insert "Would I?" joke here.)

(Of course I also explained that cell reception here at the house is only fair to middling, another perfect reason for keeping the buried phone lines God gave us.)

I'm at the theater and we're running act one right now.

However, the script has been updated from last year and one of the actors is having trouble remembering some of the new lines versus the old lines.

In his defense, some of the changes were given to the actors just within the last few days.

While I was finishing my book, Richard did something we've been threatening to do for some time - cancelled our landline.

Bye-bye, telemarketers, scammers, and robocalls!

Congrats on making the break, Ginny! :D

I'm holding on to my landline for now.  I think the  sound is better and the phone is more comfortable to hold than my cellphone.

I agree.  Actually I hear very little using my cell phone.

My wifi is slow and my laptop is off to be repaired.  The Geek Squad was able to diagnose the problem in 15 minutes so there wasn't a $99 fee.  The monitor isn't working.

Maybe I should try this.  I think I need a new battery but what do I know?

My laptop is still under waranty and will take 2-6 weeks to be fixed.

I have to keep it in order to get a deal on the Internet connection. I don't need them for the cellphone since the office supplies it.

Which is why we have a landline again.

Thank you. I'm just glad that, for once, it's a nonstop flight.

I don't really like the keyboard on my laptop & if I use a good keyboard the screen is farther away and a bit small to see.  We purshased, as the price was excellent, a monitor with a built in computer that includes a keyboard & mouse.  It seems like a nice size for me.  I am still waiting for Keith to set it up for me to try.  There is one major problem and I might have to return it.  The wifi is rather bad.  Unless Keith can boost the strength is will not be worth the great price.

Good evening.

Today is Wae-Ling's birthday. I dropped off a gift at her house this afternoon. When I explained what it was, she was happy.

I gave her an IOU for a college textbook. I told her it was a way for me to help with her college education.
