Larry, I'm glad to see you wear your cap even when all dressed up in a suit.  I love the look!!!!

LOL! I had meant to make a joke about the cap before the presentation got into swing, but I was so nervous I forgot!

Is it just me?  Or my computer?  The past few days it is taking me over 4 minutes to log in or out of HHW.

I will let DR Ginny weigh in on the event. I thought there were some good laughs, some wonderful moments, and some horrid slips of the tongue and missed opportunities to be clearer. The curse of being insecure, I guess. Still, I can relax now and enjoy my last two days.

The best part was the number of friends from so many parts of my life who surprised me by showing up.

John g I had occasion to mail several envelopes from my workplace to yours in the past two days.

If they were checks, make sure you spelled my name properly. Thank you. :)

I seem to have wrenched something in my lower back. No dancing and not much walking for me tonight.

Thank you, all. I'm having something called a Moroccan Cocktail right now (gin, Cointreau, Curacao) and it's making all seem insignificant.

Glad to hear that it was a wonderful evening. There are few things better than being surrounded by friends.

Started watching "Five Flights Up" with Morgan Freedman and Diane Keaton. They feel so right together that you can believe they've been married for 40 years. The quality of the script, however, is debatable.

The table for dinner was great: me, DR Ginny and Richard, Randy and Jo, Kim and John Minor who worked in community theatre with me in the 1970s, and Henry Cepluch who recommended me for this presentation.  I thought the dinner was lovely, and I really liked the white zinfandel (sp??).

Very glad to hear the event was wonderful.  Not that we thought it would be otherwise, of course!

And yes, you will regret the missed opportunity moments and such.  I am haunted by those things all the time.  Just let it go and, like you said, enjoy these next two days to the hilt.

In these cases it's better to have your druthers, instead.

And, we're home from a fun-filled and fact-filled evening at Fitton Center!  DR Elmore did a fantastic job and seemed very relaxed.  The reception and dinner beforehand was lovely and he even ate, which he was threatening not to do last night.  The house was decent and people laughed at the jokes and applauded at the end.  After the first jerk who just wanted to hear his own voice, there were some astute questions and a very nice compliment from a lady sitting in front of us.  Here is a link to the photos I took - remember, I'm no photographer and just had an iPhone:

So glad to hear Elmore's talk went well.

I have to give a talk in a couple of weeks. I will come here asking for vibes beforehand, that's for sure!

Found a movie at the library today called "My Old Lady" with Kevin Kline, Maggie Smith and Kristin Scott Thomas. Has anybody heard of it? With a cast like that, I'm surprised it's a straight to DVD flick.

We watched it a couple of nights ago and thought it was excellent.
