I'm trying to decide what movie to go to....the Revenant, 13 hours, Carol, The Danish Girl...or stay home in my recliner with my blanket and rent The Martian.....

Oh, actually it's too late for the matinee of Carol and The Danish Girl, so it's 13 hours or The Revenant.  Hmmmmm.....the recliner may just win out.

It was snowing this morning but has stopped.  We're going to have below zero temps tonight and tomorrow.

Condolences to TCB.  I understand when people say no service, but sometimes I think it's harder for those left behind to not have a chance to say goodbye and celebrate the life of a family member or friend

I agree. People may attend out of respect for the family, but they also need the closure it provides.

Today's mailbox.....Marco Rubio fought Obama Care; Ted Cruz is fear mongering and trying to one up Trump on anti immigration, Jeb Bush says he's fought Obama Care better than anyone.  This one includes a photo of Chris Christie at a very unflattering angle with "MASSIVE expansion" under it (well there's more but it was clearly intended) and Bernie Sanders will take on the big drug companies.   Welcome to Iowa

Bernie is coming to the same theater where Hillary had an event a week or so ago.  She filled the lobby, I have a feeling he will fill the theater

I find Bernie Sanders an interesting character. I don't know a lot about his views, but I find him refreshing. I suspect many people are curious, as I am.

These are all expensive full color, fold out mailings.  I often think what would happen if all this money was channeled into paying the national debt.

How are you doing?

I always chuckle at your cocktail conferences.
I doubt I'm going to get to go again. Too much work before next Saturday's competition.

The massive expansion line is funny.

Or any number of other causes. Oh! But then we'd have to decide which ones and that would mean more contention.

We're having a runoff soon and I've been thinking the same. Really not looking forward to October.

Cocktails vs dancing. A difficult choice, to be sure.

He's really caught fire.   My take is that the Democrats who are sick of the establishment are going for Bernie and the Republicans who are really sick of the establishment are going for Trump.  Their stance on the issues really doesn't matter, it's just that it isn't business as usual and even when you don't like what one or the other is saying, they seem to be speaking their minds.  True or not, that's the impression.

Yes, there's an authenticity factor. Sanders strikes me as the un-candidate.

Let's put it this way, tomorrow Christie is going from a restaurant I don't know in one town, to the ice cream parlor in the ice cream capitol of the world to a pizza bar/restaurant here in town.   Last time he was here, he was at a doughnut shop.  Seriously, I don't think he has a chance, but at least he's not preaching to us about what we can and can't eat.

True, that's why I picked the national debt.  That helps all of us

DR FJL - I think mentioned the length of a play vs. the length of a movie and the possibility of having to go to the restroom......

If you have to get up during a movie, it disrupts the people around you - but if you have to get up during a live performance, it disrupts the people on the stage and you become part of the performance.....

At least that's the difference for me.....and when someone goes out during a play or musical.....you just know sooner or later that person is going to come back in and go through the whole process in reverse.....

On a positive note: If he gets elected President, we get Larry David doing him for the next 4 years on SNL.
