Condolences to BK on the loss of his friend. I'm glad his daughter notified his friends. That doesn't happen a lot.

Perhaps your new Chorus will perform them?

That would be amazing!

Tonight, I am attending a neighborhood paella party.

I don't know what all is involved, but I am thinking perhaps there will be paella.

Enjoy your day off DR SINGDAW.

I now have BRIDGE OF SPIES and i shall watch it in the next few days.  We shall see.  I remember the story from the newspapers at the time, and it was a very tense time, but I did not understand why it was so important....then.

Yesterday I visited yet another eyecare center and am very glad I did. I had been there once briefly maybe a year ago and was happy with the customer service. The optician and I spent over an hour looking at frames and discussing my vision requirements. She understood my needs completely, as she also has a small bridge. She was able to explain why my three prescriptions are so different and then rigged up this gizmo that lets you see the proposed prescription. Ah! I could see wonderfully! I am now confident that the newest one is the one I want.

Finally! Here is the sort of customer service I've been looking for! Yes, they're more expensive. They don't take my insurance, but they do have promotions, so I wouldn't be paying full price. I have a number of options. This is like shopping for a new car. Oy! But I am so pleased to find an optician who knows the material and is willing to spend time with the patient, to answer questions and offer explanations. I simply cannot go back to those other, horrid ones now.

We had a run-through of Jerry's Girls this morning.  It was fine.  Some of the girls need to be off book ASAP.   Other than that, we open next Saturday afternoon for 2 performances, Saturday afternoon and the Saturday afternoon after that.

Your neighbors sound quite friendly. In some areas you have to live there for at least 10 years before you're accepted.    :D

Bruce, did you know there's a season 3 to THE BRIDGE? No Martin Rodhe character, though. I'll miss his interaction with Saga. I find it an interesting friendship.

Got blurb one from Richard Sherman.  I'll put it in the notes, but it's great.

The man has good taste.

Today I saw something advertised as "vegan leather." Does that mean a leatherette? I don't think I've ever heard the term "vegan leather" before.

Off to the symphony soon, which is performing Bernstein's West Side Story Suite, Piazzola tangos and more as part of their Las Americas festival.

I LOVE Piazzola! I love WSS, too, of course. I've never heard Piazzola in concert.
