ANOTHER OP'NIN', ANOTHER NOTES

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had an op'nin', and now it is time for you to post until the op'nin' cows come home.

This morning I have physical therapy.  Depending on how I feel after that torture, I may go down to City Center for the afternoon rehearsal of 1776.  I hope I can.  If not, I'll see it on Saturday afternoon.

To me, the greatest architectural marvel ever is the dome. How did anyone ever conceive it, why did it not end up as a pile of rubble under a vast hole in the ceiling?  I have wondered for years about this construction.

TOD:

The Gothic arch is a marvel to me. Seeing Sainte-Chapelle in Paris with its walls of light was a wonder I treasure more than 35 years after seeing it.

The ornate flourishes of the Moorish/Islamic influence in the Alhambra was also breathtaking.

I would also love to see the Taj Mahal one of these days.

I am home and pondering the City Center trip.  Today I got a new exercise that was truly an ordeal.  I know exactly what it's good will do so I am only complaining that it hurt like hell. My left leg is not happy at the moment.

DR CHAS SMITH check out the EyeBuy Direct website.  They have lots of frames....with precise measurements.  Just measure a pair of glasses that fit well, and you're set!

Usually takes about a week to get the specs.

I like mid century modern architecture.......but there are many older buildings that I like as well.

Falling Water is lovely.....I like the Millard House in Pasadena.

Thank you.  I have actually been looking for over a year, which is why I continued to wear out old lenses in a frame that kept falling apart.
