Hello, Uncle Ron!

Uncle?  Uncle?

I'm a nephew.

So that makes you my nephew?

Well, possibly your nephew six times removed!   ;)

My old newspaper, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, won a Pulitzer today for a series it did on mental hospitals in Florida.

Isn't it nice to have DR TCB in the Eastern time zone for a while?

Yes, it is.   And of course, it's much less steady over here on the Left Coast in his absence.

I'm also a fan of The VIPs.  Mostly for Margaret Rutherford and Maggie Smith.

I just received three CDs that I had purchased on eBay.  All three were Moscow cast recordings and performed in Russian!  I got Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid, and The Phantom of the Opera!

DR Ginny,  now that I have begun reading My Antonia I  cannot imagine a woman narrating it.

I know, right?  George Guidall was perfect.

Stupid.  I'm glad you found Guidall.  So far I'm enjoying it and am glad I switched books.

My Antonia is a book that I look both to read and to listen to. Big Willa Cather fan.

I haven't read anything by her.  My Antonia keeps popping up the list list of book one must read.  Many of those books I have read that are on the list are not ones I would have chosen for it, many are.  So far I like her writing style very much.

It is a beautiful day here.....82 degrees....warm sunshine....

I was checking my bank account to make sure I could buy a new suit to attend a wedding on April 30 AND still give a nice wedding present.  It was iffy......

I was perusing the aisles of Goodwill and lo and behold, there was a nice 3-button Nick Hilton spring suit.....in my size.....  $10.99 less a 10% discount.  I don't think it was hardly worn.  The jacket pockets are still stitched.  The trousers fit....I think I will get a new shirt and tie....and I am set!

Of course the spring style this year is TWO button suits.....but I live in Indiana.

Congratulations on your excellent find.

Iam stuck.  I am locked out of AOl, I forgot the password.  I can't get AOL to reset it, because I don't have a cell phone here at sea that they can send me a text message to reset it.

Do you have it written down anywhere when you get home?  If not just try really hard to remember it.

No, but I have my cell phone at home so that they can send me a text message to reset it.

Can your cat sitter get into it for you?

I also need to figure out how to stop Facebook notifications when I am reading.

When I first had my tablet, I had the Facebook app, but very shortly, I had to uninstall it.  It was just too annoying.  I can access it from a browser and it's fine for me.

Keith took care of it this morning.  He also showed me the secret to editing posts on FB.  It works differently on my new tablet.

Maybe it will come to me in a dream.

It did come to DR TCB in a dream.  I received the following email:
I suddenly remembered my AOL address (Thank God!)!!  But now I have bigger problems.  I have gotten myself locked out of HHW.  I didn't realize the caplock was on, so twice I screwed up that, but the third time I must have mistyped, because it says I am locked out!!

I didn't know that, either.  Hopefully, TCB can just wait.  I remember one site that locked me out for 10 minutes, and one of my credit unions would lock the computer from accessing that site for 24 hours.  That's overkill, if you ask me. :P

Today we went to Costco and picked up my microphone so I can hear my cell phone ring.  It works great and I can hear while talking on the phone.  The music sounds good going directly from my phone into my ears.

The problem, is wearing an ugly microphone around my neck or clipped onto me.  It also means the person on the other end of the conversation is listening to a speaker phone affect.
