Well, you've read the notes, the notes were designed and run through, and now it is time for you to post until the designer cows come home.

TOD

Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round
Luv
Zabriskie Point
The Possessed
The Star Wars Holiday Special

Ha ha, just kidding.  Those first three, I never knew he was in.  Maybe Zabriskie, I sort of remember looking for him in that one.  Okay, here we go...

American Graffiti
The Conversation
Star Wars (first three, haven't seen the new one yet)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (first three, but especially Raiders)
Blade Runner
Witness
The Mosquito Coast
Frantic
Presumed Innocent

And then whatever.  He is always enjoyable.  But them's my favorites.

My day is wide open.  I may go into City Center if Joshie needs help.  I do need to go to Staples and photocopy some score paper for this Requiem and I do need to do laundry this weekend.

Yesterday's appointment went well and my doctor was happy: glucose content has decreased, blood sugar levels are down, and I've lost several more pounds.  I left the doctor's around 900, walked to my pharmacy for my meds, then headed down to City Center.  By 1:30, when I left there, I was ready for some sleep, but it was too bright in the apartment to sleep, so I puttered around the place until dinner like a zombie.

After dinner, I got ready for bed, read a bit of Franco Zeffirelli's autobiography, and turned off the lights around 9:00.  Now, I need to wake up.

Outside of WITNESS, INDIANA JONES, and STAR WARS, I have no memory of seeing Harrison Ford in anything else.

Today is the wonderful Sheldon Harnick's birthday.  Thanks to BK's "Unsung Musicals" and "Lost In Boston" series, I've been lucky to score a number of songs he's written for FIORELLO, THE ROTHSCHILDS, FIDDLER ON THE ROOD, and IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.

Happy Birthday, Sheldon!

Happiest of birthdays to Mr. Harnick, and thanks to BK and DR Elmore for those wonderful albums.

Coincidentally, I only last week filled in the last missing two of those in my collection, and was enjoying some of their beautiful sounds.

Happy birthday, Sheldon Harnick.

I once had the privilege of interviewing him when he was doing a reading of his musical Dragons at the Egg in Albany.

Reading what others wrote, I realize how few Harrison Ford movies I've seen. "Working Girl" is my favorite. I love that movie. "Clear and Present Danger" and "Witness" were okay. I hated "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

Watching an odd movie of Italian shorts called Love in the City. So far, the only love is the love a mother feels for her illegitimate child even though she's starving and can't get work and is about to abandon him. The other stories had to do with people who tried to commit suicide over failed love (Antonioni), interviews with prostitutes, horny people at a Sunday dance (Risi) and a man who likes to pray on women's desires to marry well and be taken care of (Fellini). In a word: depressing. Also fascinating if that's what these directors' images of love were less than 20 years after the war.
