TOD:
Reading what others wrote, I realize how few Harrison Ford movies I've seen. "Working Girl" is my favorite. I love that movie. "Clear and Present Danger" and "Witness" were okay. I hated "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

I didn't care for Raiders, either.

I loved Raiders and it tops my list.

I also like Working Girl.

Laundry in the dryers, floors vacuumed, breakfast eaten, bed made, and i am ready for a nap.

I'm listening to Gounod's opera Romeo et Juliette.  Some beautiful stuff in it, but i still think he composes with a pastry tube.

Is that the version where they live happily ever after? I saw some opera version of R+J with a happy ending. I hadn't read the program since I knew the plot, and when that happened, I was actually more horrified than happy for the young lovers.

LOL.

As an adult I think finding a good solution to their problem would be more educational.

We had a LOT to talk about!

I'm sure you did.  Will you be seeing her again?

We had a lovely time last night at our local arts center attending the opening reception for a quilting and fiber arts exhibit.  Richard bought a wall hanging and I met a retired librarian who grew up here and got her master's in library science at The University of Michigan the year I was a freshman there.  She graduated from Miami the same year as Richard and DR Elmore, but had attended the Catholic high school.  We had a LOT to talk about!

JoAnn might have liked that.  Her quilts are really spectacular.

Do you have any photos of her quilts?

Trying to get everything that  sprang out of the suitcase when it was first opened, and now will not fit back in.

And you have to have it outside the door by what time tonight?

Everyone who has a flight tomorrow wanted to do their 24 hour check-in, and the ship's computer has been down this afternoon.

Typical.

Fortunately, my hotel is connected to the airport in Copenhagen, so I can hopefully check-in in person on Monday.

That will be convenient.  I imagined you in the old town section.

The little plastic throttle on my scooter lost one of the screws, and the other one had come dangeriously loose.

Fortunately, Ken had one of those Leatherman multi-tools.  He wasn't comfortable just tightening the one screw without having a replacement for the other.

11:00

Not too early.  That is one part of packing I don't like, giving up the luggage the night before.  Fortunately I always have a carry-on bag for my morning things.

So, he called down to the front desk to see if their maintenance department might hVe a small screw to replace the one.

That was all he was asking for, he was going to install it himself.

I suppose it is too crazy on the ship to find out if they have any screws that might fit.  Keep a careful eye on your scooter.  Is this yours or does it belong to the ship?

I should have waited to comment.  I expect there is more to this story.

They came back with their company line, "We have been advised, that we are not allowed to touch or repair those scooters."

Ken flipped out and stormed down to the front desk, where he was given a small screw that actually fit.
