Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Dad is still in the hospital. They don't know what is the matter. He might likely get to go home tomorrow or Saturday. In the meantime, he's resting. And Mom went home to rest, too.

Saturday is their 61st anniversary. His going home will be a nice gift for them.

I've started watching On Moonlight Bay with Doris Day and Gordon MacRae. I forgot how much like Meet Me in St. Louis it is, right down to Leon Ames as the dad who moves his family.

The reviews for Encores! are trickling in.  Ben Brantley gave it a wonderful NY TIMES review.

Any news about it being recorded?

I doubt it.  There is no longer a Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization to pay for one.

What happened to the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization??

I vaguely remember reading something about it being bought by a European conglomerate...or something like that.

I twisted my knee today, so Sandy is giving me a raincheck until next week.

It is nothing serious, but the drive up to Mercer Island would be a little tough on my knee.
