Thanks for the weather report.

Just noticed there's an I Love Lucy special tonight on CBS at 8 pm.  More colorized episodes, I think.

Yes, it's just starting.  The John Wayne episodes are being shown in color.

Well, I'm leaving work and need to run some errands before I go to the theater.  Tonight, we're supposed to have a completely sold out house!  That'll be great!

I'm not sure what we have recorded, maybe a FATHER BROWN.  I'm in the mood for that.

We have been watching BURNS AND ALLEN.  This show was funny and wonderful.  I just wish the sound quality was better.  We are watching it on YouTube through our tv.

I read vixmom's Tale of the Office Computer before hitting the sack last night.  And I tell you -- Jean-Paul Sartre has nothing on vixmom when it comes to knowing the ins and outs of Hell.  She's got it down, man.

We took 2 pieces to Framer Sue, spent a little time at the public library, and bought Mom a new walker at the Medicine Shoppe.  We delivered it to her and heard her version of the 2 falls she took this week, which I'd already heard about from the nurses.  She's quite depressed because they've told her to ALWAYS call for help when she wants to be up and about.  I finally told her about my friend's mother who was told the same thing when she lived in the same place.  She did not comply and was finally told she had to move across the lobby to skilled nursing.  Hope that sinks in...

John G. This may be too late but a Skip has in the past allowed me to share so

For six hard boiled eggs   Mash yolks with  2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons mayo, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons crumbled bleu  cheese, salt & pepper to taste  3 tablespoons bacon bits (reserve a little for garnish)

The bleu cheese and the bacon.   Oh my.  I generally expend the recipe to. 2 or 3 dozen eggs depending on the crowd because people will eat 4 or 6 of the halves.... They are sooooo good
Send him my love

It is a great recipe.   Skip confirms that there's no problem sharing it, of course!  (He's flattered.)   :)

And I am home from Chase's dance concert at Symphony Space.  He has a fantastic group of dancers, and I like much of his work. He has a wonderful imagination and sense of humor.  The group performed with my friend Josh Rosenblum's ensemble "The Pit Stop Players," a group of Broadway pit players who are not playing a show or concert.  They're quite good as well.  It was a delightful evening.

Josh Rosenblum is a good composer, and he plays keyboards for a lot of Encores! productions.  The Pit Stop Players in the first half played his delightful  "Happy Birthday Variations."  I can't remember all the composers he parodied, but we had some Johann Strauss, Stravinksky, Bernard Herrmann, John Williams, and Rossini.  It was really wonderful.
