Good evening. I have been camping in the woods.

I'm in rehearsal for High School Musical Jr today... all day.... it's going ok.  It's always tough to do a musical with an entire class, 1/3 which has no talent, but the talent level is pretty decent this year.

Even with decent talent, that does not sound like fun.

Good evening. I have been camping in the woods.

I haven't been camping in ages. I wonder if I would like it anymore. Or if I'm too fat and happy to brave it a whole night.

And Skip, by extension.

I don't think skip used bacon bits I think he used crumbled home cooked bacon

I wouldn't use anything but.

And I am home from Chase's dance concert at Symphony Space.  He has a fantastic group of dancers, and I like much of his work. He has a wonderful imagination and sense of humor.  The group performed with my friend Josh Rosenblum's ensemble "The Pit Stop Players," a group of Broadway pit players who are not playing a show or concert.  They're quite good as well.  It was a delightful evening.

I remember that place fondly from when our mutual friend, Patricia Sinnott, worked there. Saw a couple of the Wall to Wall concerts. Spent the whole day. Just wonderful.

I wouldn't even attempt it. :P

The evening's event from the wine and food festival, called Back to Bubbles, was fun. I got to pour sparkling wine for a big chunk of the evening and talk to people I hadn't seen in awhile. Nice to be back in circulation.

My favorite snack of the evening was something called Tongue in Cheek. It was smoked pork cheek atop a raw oyster with a pickled Moroccan tomato. The tomato made everything work.

Also liked the foie gras, the pork shoulder, the sashimi-grade tuna with avocado salad (what you and I would called guacamole) and the fried cheese snacks.

DR TCB:  Celebrate the things you CAN do or have LEARNED to do.

I have regrets, of sorts, about the things I can never experience again.

But, there are all kinds of possibilities...

Very wise words, Ron.  I usually don't let myself get down about stuff, but every once in a while I slip up.  Thanks for the reality check.

First I drove up to Mercer Island to have lunch with my friend, Sandy.

I hadn't seen Sandy for over six weeks, so it was quite a shock.

He has lost 48 pounds; from the cancer, from the chemo, and from the loss of appetite.
